They both possess a psychological element with an unique plot line and a sense of mystery. Godchild doesn't explain anything and is up to much of the reader's own interpretation whereas Liar Game explains everything but still manages to leave the reader hanging.

They both involve a love between an "animal" or "beast" and a human (although technically Aoi in Beast Master is not a beast).

They are both mangas by CLAMP. They are both excellent reads that allow you to think a bit. X focuses more on action and drama, whereas xxxHOLiC progresses with more psychological.

They both involve bands that are completely made up of guys. Also, in both stories...the female main character falls in love with the singer. The main difference is that Kaikan Phrase is based more on drama and Youth Gone Wild is based more on comedy.

Both have the mysterious air that makes you want more. They both contain considerable amount of blood. They both have special key words: "Bloody Monday" for well Bloody Monday, and "Blade Children" for Spiral.

The mangas both test your mind and cause you to think. They are both incredibly good psychological mangas and keep you in suspense. Both great reads.
