When I first heard about Comic Girls, I was excited because I thought it'd be nice to have an anime about manga artists. It's something that's not very common and it let's you see what it's like for manga artists.
Story: 8/10
Comic Girls is a slice of life anime, so it doesn't really have a proper story. However, I'm giving the story an 8/10 because it's a unique anime. It's basically an anime about a group of manga artists who live in a house and their day to day lives. It shows them develop and the kinds of manga they write. This has been done before
...
but it's rare. It's very nice to have a good anime that's not only cute and funny, but also shows what it's like for manga artists (particularly new ones) and how they write manga.
Art: 8/10
The animation was very nice and pleasant to look at. It's not absolutely amazing but it's pretty good and what I expect to see in a 2018 anime. The characters were very cute too, particularly Kaos-chan.
Sound: 7/10
The opening song of the anime was pretty good, although the ending song, while not bad, was forgettable. The background music was nice too.
Characters: 8/10
The characters were all funny, very cute and I could even relate a bit with Kaos-chan and Fuura. I was nice to also see a lot of character development too, particularly with Kaos-chan.
Enjoyment: 7/10
This anime is another cute, moe, slice of life anime with cute girls doing cute things, but that doesn't mean it's bad. I still found it to be good and i enjoyed watching it. The characters were cute, funny and relatable and it was interesting seeing an anime about manga artists.
Overall: 7/10
I give this anime a 7/10 rating. While it is another cute girls doing cute things and slice of life anime, it was still fun and nice to watch. The characters were cute and relatable and the story was interesting. It has several funny moments too. If you're looking for an anime about manga artists then I definitely recommend this anime. If you're not bothered and you just want to relax and watch a nice slice of life anime, then I think you should go for it, although if you're new to this genre then I strongly recommend the anime 'New Game'.

Do you ever wonder what it'd be like if a dark lord or SATAN HIMSELF came into our world and worked part-time at a fast food restaurant that totally isn't based off McDonalds? Well this anime shows what it''d be like. Hataraku Maou-sama (The Devil is a Part-timer in English) is a spring 2013 anime and if you like slice of life, comedy anime then this anime is for you. Anyway, let's get into the review.
Story: 6/10
This anime is a slice of life anime, so there isn't really much of a story to it. However, there is some kind of story as in it gives
...
a bit of detail about the devil, what he does and where he lives. However, while it does talk about the stuff that happens in the world the devil and the other characters (except Chiho, who lives on Earth) live in, I feel that it doesn't go into depth enough. It was certainly interesting, but i feel that it could've given more of a background story of the characters and their lives in the crazy world they live in. While does give a bit of a background story about Emilia "The Hero) when it shows her as a child, her being recruited and then her village being burnt down by the devil's army, I would've liked to see more of what it was like for her growing up. Did she find training hard at first? Did she ever lose any battles she regrets losing? You know, that kind of stuff.
The same goes for the other characters too, we're given no information about their lives in this crazy world. While i did enjoy watching it and I know it's just a slice of life anime, in this situation it would've been nice to give a good backstory for all the characters. Heck, maybe even tell us more about Chiho. I'm interested in the Church, who in a way are made out to be the bad guys and crazy. I'm also interested in the different islands and the people on them. Do they get along? Is there any tension? Maybe I'm looking too much into this but when it's a fantasy world similar to those of KonoSuba or Re:Zero, then I want to see a good backstory explaining things. i want to get to know the characters more. I did enjoy what the anime gave us though, I just feel it could've been added to.
Art 7/10
This anime was animated by the studio called White Fox, who have also animated Re:Zero. While I do like Re:Zero's animation better and I've seen shows animated better that this one, I still think the animation was good, especially in some bits where it's really good, such as Chiho's jealousy causing her to get angry at Satan. The characters are cute (particularly Chiho) and look nice. Everything else is done nicely too. It's just nice, simple animation and I'm happy with what I saw. Not amazing but certainly not bad.
Sound 8/10
I found this anime very pleasant to listen to, whether that be the background music, the opening and ending or just general things like the characters talking. Non of them had some overly "cute", squeaky voice (looking at you English dubs for anime!) and the opening and ending songs, while forgettable, were good, although they're not something I'd listen to over and over again like the opening and endings for New Game or Nichijou. The background music was pretty good and nice to listen to.
Character 9/10
Like i said before, the characters were cute and I found them all hilarious. Each character has their own backstory and is unique in a way, although like i said before, i feel their backstory wasn't explored enough. They were still interesting and funny characters though. Some people might say Chiho was just fan service because of her large boobs but I disagree. Yes, she has large boobs and she's cute but there's more to her than that. She was still an important part of the show. It's a slice of life anime though, so fan service is acceptable as long as the character still has good things about them and reasons to like them other than "they're sexy", like Rem from Re:Zero or Mikasa from Attack on Titan. Like I mentioned before, the characters are all unique, funny and likeable. It's a shame that this show doesn't have a 2nd season and that not much of a backstory was given for these undoubtedly interesting characters.
Enjoyment 10/10
I enjoyed this anime very much and there weren't any moments were I started feeling bored or annoyed. It made me laugh every episode (especially the funny language that is spoken in Satan's world) and I'd definitely watch a season 2. It's a nice slice of life, comedy anime and I got what I expected.
Overall 8/10
I give this anime an 8/10 rating. While it does have some flaws, they are minor and luckily did not effect the humour or quality of this very good anime. Like I said before, I enjoyed it very much and I think you'll probably enjoy it too if you like slice of life, comedy anime. If you're new to this genre or even new to anime, then I don't think this anime is a bad place to start.

Asobi Asobase is the best and funniest anime I've seen this year. It's basically Daily Lives of High School Boys but with girls and much much funnier. It's up there with Nichijou, the funniest and greatest anime of all time in my opinion.
Story: 10/10
There's not much to say here since it's a Slice of Life anime and it doesn't really have a proper story but it was still fun to watch.Basically, Asobi Asobase is about 3 crazy, hilarious, cute and insane middle school girls and what they get into in the "past timers' club", which they created. The other characters are all great as well.
...
I'll talk about them later.
Art: 10/10
Asobi Asobase has its own unique art style, like Yuyushiki or Nichijou. At first I felt a bit turned off by it but after a bit I got used to it and came to appreciate it. I also love the many facial expressions that the characters make, they're fucking hilarious. The characters are all adorable but also scary at times. This is why I love Asobi Asobase's animation style. Animation other than the characters such as the classrooms, were nice too.
Sound: 10/10
There's a saying that goes "don't judge a book by its cover". You shouldn't judge an anime by its cover, name or even opening song either.. The poster for the anime and and opening song both make the anime look like it's gonna be another one of those cute, moe overload slice of life anime, which aren't always bad. There are many great ones such as 'Is the Order a Rabbit' and 'Comic Girls'. Anyway, the opening song is very nice and happy sounding, which is why it's very deceiving. After 5 minutes into the 1st episode you begin to realise that these characters are not adorable, cute and cuddly characters, but cute, insane, stupid and borderline terrifying characters. Then there's the ending song, which is some edgy death metal stuff and shows what this show really is like: insane. I love both the opening and ending songs and the background music is nice too.
Character: 10/10
The characters are all fucking insane. Yeah they're cute and all but fuck they're insane. Like I said before, the opening song deceives you. The 3 main characters, Olivia, Kasumi and Hanako, are 3 teenage girls who arre in middle school. They're in the past timers club. This all seems nice and cute but as you go through each episode you're basically going deeper into Hell. A Hell that's very satisfying. The other characters are all mad too. Maeda is one of them. He shoots laser beams out of his ass. Yes, laser beams. He's the butler in Hanako's house and is there because he was anal probed by aliens. Yeah, this show is crazy. I could go on a tangent but you should watch the show for yourself. Asobi Asobase's characters are like that one drunk homeless guy you see on your way home from work everyday. Nice guy who will approach you and say random things, but clearly crazy. The characters are mostly nice, but they're severely mentally ill, probably.
Enjoyment: 10/10
I've enjoyed this anime more than any other anime this season. It's absolutely fucking hilarious and borderline scary at times too. It's also adorable and gives you a nice feeling when watching it (it's still moe in my opinion, but crazy. Like 'Is the Order a Rabbit' but Cocoa is a severe drug addict).
Overall: 10/10
I rate this anime 10/10 overall. I loved this anime and I think anyone who's into slice of life, comedy anime will enjoy it too. i really hope there's a second season. I recommend this anime to anyone who is into slice of life, comedy anime.

Azumanga Daioh is definitely one of the best comedy, slice of life anime out there. I loved this anime and it's one of my top 10 favourite anime.
Story: 7/10
Like most slice of life anime, this anime doesn't really have a major plot. It's pretty much just another slice of life, comedy anime. If you're not into that then you may find this anime kind of boring and fair enough. I really enjoyed watching these characters and their day to day lives (hence the name slice of life).
Art: 8/10
The animation isn't perfect but this anime did come out in 2002 and it's pretty good for its
...
time. I got used to it and came to appreciate it and find the characters cute (especially Osaka).
Sound: 10/10
The sound was very good. The opening, ending, voice acting and background sounds were all spot on and nice to listen to. The opening makes absolutely no sense whatsoever but is still very catchy. I have it stuck in my head while writing this review.
Characters: 10/10
The main characters are Sakaki, Kagura, Chiyo, Tomo, Yomi and Ayumu, whose nickname is Osaka because she's from Osaka. There are several other background characters too, some more recurring than others. The characters all have their own unique personalities and while watching this anime I came to like them all quite quickly. The characters help make this anime very relaxing and hilarious at the same time. It's also very cute and charming.
Enjoyment: 10/10
Azumanga Daioh is my 6th favourite out of 50+ anime I've watched, which is obviously very high. Azumanga Daioh is a very cute, charming relaxing and funny anime and I enjoyed every minute of it. It made me happy and also made me laugh every episode. Even when it's not making you laugh, it''ll still be fun to watch. It's not bland or boring like some anime that will leave you with nothing when not making you laugh, if they even manage to make you laugh. Azumanga Daioh is one of my favourite anime and I loved it.
Overall: 10/10
This anime is a masterpiece. If you're into slice of life, comedy anime than this is the anime for you. You might not like it, everyone is different, but you most likely will. This anime is very popular. I love this anime and have even re-watched parts of it. It's definitely one of those anime that I'll never forget about and I'll always love, even in 50 years from now or even 100. If you're not into slice of life then you may not like this anime very much but i think it's still worth trying.

I've just finished both seasons and holy crap this anime is AMAZING! Seriously, it's been a while since I've watched an anime that I've actually properly adored. It's one of my all time favourite anime (it rivals YuriYuri :D). I can't put into words how much I loved this anime and enjoyed it. Anyway, on to the review.
Story: 8/10
Usually I'd rate this a 7 or a 6 for slice of life anime just because slice of life anime don't really have a proper plot or a story line. New Game didn't have a proper one either, but it did have some sort of a story
...
line. Both seasons have the characters creating a game and improving things. There's also character development, even if it's just a bit. You'll get it when you watch it.
Art: 10/10
The art in this anime was beautiful and a lot of thought and care was clearly put into it. Everything is in good detail and it was pleasant to look at. Art is something that always bothers me in anime if it's not to my standards :3 Although I was fine with Yuyushiki, which is also pretty good.
Sound: 10/10
The opening and closing themes of this anime are amazing and the background music is nice too. The audio is also fine, which makes sense obviously since I'm watching at and I'm supposed to hear it.
Characters: 9/10
The characters were all lovely (especially Aoba) and they were great. They were all funny and it was nice to see them interacting with each other and seeing what they do. One complaint I have though is that there's not a lot of character development, particularly for Hifumi. I think it would've been nice to see a bit more character development, especially in season 2. I wanna see Hifumi be less shy for example. The characters are still great, don't get me wrong, but more character development would've been nice.
Enjoyment: 10/10
I can't even put into words how much I ADORED this anime. This anime is definitely one of my all time favourites and I really enjoyed myself watching it. Seriously, I binged many of the episodes at once and didn't get bored lol.
Overall: 10/10
i give this anime 10/10 overall. Its a masterpiece and like i said before I can't put into words how much I loved it and enjoyed watching it. I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to watch a nice comedy, slice of life anime. Oh and it also involves cute girls doing cute things and it's not a generic high school one, which is nice (I don't mind high school ones but it's overused). If you're trying to get into slice of life then I recommend this.

Positives:
It's hard to put into words how much I've loved this anime. Every episode has made me laugh and also been heartwarming (especially episode 12). The characters were all great, especially Maika. Every episode is entertaining and when I finished one I was annoyed that I had to wait a week for another one. Blend S is a good example of a proper slice of life comedy anime. It's one of the best in 2017. I really hope there's a season 2 of it (if it's been popular enough in Japan then there most likely will be). Honestly, I've loved this show the whole way
...
through. Also I'm glad they didn't go to far and make Maika x Dino canon, which i was afraid of when i started watching it. Basically, this show is funny, heartwarming and generally just entertaining. Is it as good as legends like Azumanga Daioh and Nichijou? No, but it's still pretty good and I honestly think it has the potential to be as good as Azumanga Daioh was. I can also relate with Maika and somewhat with Kaho.
Negatives:
I feel that not enough attention has been payed to Miu. She's a likeable character and has had her funny moments but like i said, not enough attention has been payed to her. I hope she has an episode or 2 in season 2 as well as generally just having more attention put on her.
I also want to know more about Maika's school life, which i feel can be explored more. This isn't really a negative but I'm still a bit disappointing that it hasn't been explored more yet. I think this because at the beginning of one of the episodes, Maika is seen sitting in a classroom and a girl is talking to her. This only lasts for about 30 seconds though before it's cut to the cafe.
I love Kaho but I 80% like her because of her personality. I think the show should focus more on her personality and maybe make some possible small changes to it that are just right so that people won't just focus on her boobs.
Conclusion:
As i said before, this anime is pretty amazing. It's funny, heartwarming (although comedy is much more common, which makes sense for the genre) and generally entertaining. The negatives are not enough attention being payed towards Miu and a Kaho lacking the amount of personality so that people focus on something other than her boobs. Her personality is good but i feel a bit more could be done.
I give Blend S 9/10.

This is the most funny and awesome anime I've ever seen. It's certainly my number 1 favourite anime.
Story 10/10
Nichijou doesn't really have a proper story line or plot like anime such as Love Live, Attack On Titan etc. Rather, it's pretty much just hilarious comedic sketches every episode and it's all random. That might seem boring and if you think that then fair enough but I actually found it really good and hilarious. Episodes tend to be split up into different parts with some sort of plot so I guess you could count them but the show overall doesn't really have a proper story line
...
or a plot. It's slice of life, after all. It;s not really supposed to have a major plot.
Art 7/10
The art in Nichijou is different to art in a lot of anime. If I had to compare Nichijou's animation to another anime, I'd compare it to Yuyushiki. Anyway, I didn't think the animation was amazing but it was still good, definitely not bad. Maybe it could've had better animation for an anime produced in 2011 but I don't think it was bad to be honest. The constant entertainment makes up for the animation.
Sound 10/10
I'm guessing this refers to stuff such as the openings and endings. If that's the case then I found Nichijou's openings and endings to be really catchy and well made.
Character 10/10
The characters are all funny and really likeable. I'm sure they're relateable to many people too. Best girl is Mai-chan in case you're wondering :0.
Enjoyment 10/10
I think it's pretty obvious what I'm gonna say since everything else I've said implies it. This anime is well made, enjoyable and hilarious! Honestly I never got tired of it.
Overall 10/10
This is a wonderful anime with hilarious and overall likeable characters. Everything else about it is good too. I recommend it for someone who likes slice of life, comedy anime. If you don't like that sort of stuff then you may well not and I can see why but I still recommend giving it a try.
