Main protagonists who were once well respected for being top in their fields (medical/art restoration) now increasing submerged into shady dealings due to the greed and unrelenting ambitions of their peers; they've chosen to embrace and live in the underground upon realizing that the ideals once sought by their youthful selves are made impossible by the deep darkness within the human heart. Still, unable to completely relinquish their beliefs, they chosen to follow their own path; separate from "good" and "bad". Both also have younger female assistants who seemingly love and take pride in their work.

...then you might like Yoshinaga-sanchi no Gargoyle add

Both centered around a child/children with a talking object (Gargoyle/Hermes motorbike) in a fantasy-like setting with underlying dark themes i.e. drugs, cults, and natural disasters. Though Yoshinaga-san is a bit more light-hearted while Kino leans toward adventure; both obscure the line between right and wrong.

Similar survival game taken place in long abandoned and seemingly deserted citiy. You fight but not for money, honor or fame. The only drive to keep you from destroying yourself is the will to live for just one day more. Here, neither the strong nor wise survive; only the one who accept change and adapt to it will live for another day of unrest for hope and dreams of freedom have long been abandoned.

...then you might like Imawa no Kuni no Alice add

Probably the most similar anime you'll find. Both with only 3 episodes but leave quite an impact. Bus Gamer is also a survival game in which 3 participants must steal or protect a cd filled with information about a certain company. Unlike Alice, the parameters are clear and unchanging and the enemies are never more than three. Borderland Alice, on the order than, is a bit more ambiguous in both game and enemy because the rules and location are unknown to the players until just before the game and chances of friendly fire increase the body count. Paranoia spreads as the lines between friends and enemies blur. No one is to be trusted....even yourself.

...then you might like Six Half add

Shoujo stories that are more realistic and almost belong in the josei category. Plot wise, they're not that similar. Only a few aspects (one really) such as trying to survive in the entertainment world. In Cat Street, the main character goes through depression due to childhood trauma (she was a childhood actress) and spend her days lazing about until she discovers a "free school" for students with different needs and talents. She doesn't belong there….or does she? While Six Half also deals with past trauma, the main character uses different "coping" methods. After an accident, she suffers from amnesia. Discovering her past self is less than amiable, she fears this stranger she hears about may really be her true self. Finally, a new start; a fresh beginning presents itself….but the past has a way of hovering over you; shadowing your every move. Unable to escape, will they overcome such towering walls created by their past selves or be consumed by it? Follow the heroines as they begin to discover their true selves and talents. And let's not forget the pain of loving another when it may not be reciprocated….or is it?

Both are reverse harem themed anime with very [annoying] indecisive main characters with no special traits or talents. I guess you can say their only "good" trait is their naiveness to a fault but the main character in both anime (of course) ties the otherwise complicated and distant group of guys together with their meekness and can-do attitude. Typical for for otohime anime I suppose with relatively good art and different, handsome men.

If you liked Barairo My Honey add

...then you might like Keishichou Tokuhanka 007 add

Both with strong and not to mention beautiful female leads. Follow their journeys as they slowly but surely melt the seemingly cold and distant male protagonists. Will they come to accept their feelings for one another? Will jealously, family and rivalries tear the couples apart? Or will misunderstandings cause a rift between their unexpectedly fragile bond? Note: Both are supernatural but Keishichou Tokuhanka 007 also contains mystery (police force). I recommend it more because the main character is an important part of his work (aka female is also very capable).

...then you might like 07-Ghost add

Although Loveless falls under yaoi, they both have the same atmosphere and somewhat similar [supernatural] plots. Follow the protagonists in their quest for the truth and watch the [snail-paced] progressions they make as they slowly open themselves up to new people and battle their worst enemy; themselves. What dark secrets lurk behind their questionable pasts? Will [reasonable] doubts and fear control their present? Not everything is what it might seem. And sometimes, the truth isn't what you expect it to be. Does curiosity lead them towards it regardless? Or, is it better to look the other way? Warning: Both have cliff endings with no clear direction and you might doubt yourself, thinking there's another season but sadly, no there isn't; leaving you with questions....unanswered.

...then you might like Hatenkou Yuugi add

Both are slice of life series and contain inklings of comedy. Each episode is a new adventure, a new lesson learned. They focus on what we should really treasure in our short life. Even though the art and characters differ greatly, they have the same feel although the main characters of Hatenkou Yuugi are more emotionally invested with the people they encounter and develop their values and essentially themselves as the journey of life pushes them forward while, the Bandit King, Jin, appears to be a little more indifferent towards the side characters granted, he still ends up saving them, however, he doesn't mature as the series moves forward but this is because he has already developed his morals and does not waver in upholding them.

...then you might like Pinocchio add

Both contain supernatural elements to them and very similar art (comic art). Soft romance waits around the corner, unexpectedly and perhaps even unwanted, but what secrets may lie behind the facade they keep? In any case, they have the same atmosphere to them and somewhat similar plots.

Both have strong, beautiful, and intelligent female leads with charm and supernatural powers. Same vibe.
