They both have a character pick "unused/unpopular" skills including potion making and bows. They both focus on lighthearted exploring of mechanics instead of more intense fighting to become the best. I like oso slightly better.

Both of these series are underrated adventure stories with well choreographed fights and nonstandard magic. both series has a MC who's strong by using tools and nonstandard weapons. In Hitsugi the MC is a sabator that uses knives on wires smoke bombs and exploding knives. In Rokka the MC uses an endless assortment of tricks, bombs, wires etc. Also both series have a white haired girl who uses a magic rifle.

similar humor. there is this scene in both series where 3 guys stand around throwing a ball back and forth while discussing something and then at the end the ball falls to the ground.

They both have a similar feel. main characters both have the same traits. they both have battles againsed demons like creatures-in Rokka these consist of the Kyouma and in Shingeki they are summoned beasts. Rokka has more of a mystery plotline that focuses on discovering the traitor among them while Shingeki is more of an adventure. however while watching Shingeki all I can think of is how similar they are.
