- 1 main female lead, 2 male leads - 1 male lead is very orthodox, realistic, and disciplined while the other is more unorthodox in his methods, more into popular culture (even when he was in edo Japan) - While Gibiate is a time travel story, they both have the concept of the old with the new. Old samurais vs new samurais in Samurai Champloo (along with pop culture). In Gibiate, Sensui is a part of the old Japanese culture while, Senroku is the new Japanese culture (guns, gun powder, explosives, and now the new Japanese culture)

Both animes take place in a place where magic exists, but different time periods. Arthur much like Sion are kings that have been wronged by the world and want to make a change to the system. But much to everyones dismay, the kings have leaned themselves towards the shadows. In Divine Gate, Loki acts to Arthur as Lucile acts to Sion. They initially appear to be guides that help the charges find the path to their ideals, but slowly they realize that nothing will happen without a little intervention. In Divine Gate, the gate itself is the all powerful 'being' and in Legend of the Legendary Heroes, it is the power creator of all formulas and the solver of all formulas that is the major power.

In both Trinity Blood and Trigun, the main protagonists are both creatures that grew up in a "facility" like setting off of the planet and in some form of transportation unit that does not need to return to earth or land to be replenished. They both have brothers that oppose their ideals and absolutely hate humanity. There is a head female figure that both protagonists looked up to, acting almost like a mother that would guide them and teach them about life. Vash and Abel, both, originally hated humanity for one reason or another. They realized their error in judgement and have repented their sins, using God's name, and have been doing what is right for the sake of humanity.

Trinity Blood and 07-Ghost have strong religious themes that direct the plot. Both animes consist of supernatural themes, Trinity with vampires and Ghost with Koro/Demons. In both Trinity Blood and Ghost their main character had a past of never believing or trusting in God; in Trinity it was Abel in Ghost it is Frau. In both there was a major war/event before the anime starts, and during the anime a new war/event starts. They both also seem to take place in the future, where technology and aeronautics has far surpassed that of ours in present day.

Both Shido and Yakumo work as supernatural investigators that assist the police when necessary. Their cast also consist of an officer and an assistant who likes/loves their boss, whether they are open about it or not. They also have a similar plot, both solving different cases "assigned" to them by the officer, but they also have a main antagonist that wants the protagonist back. They are willing do whatever it takes to get them to return to them, even if it means going after the people they love and care about.
