Words cannot express how disappointed I am. Everything about it besides the visuals and the former half of the first episode is just boring. The animation is non existent despite the good visuals which is a baffling. It's quite difficult to judge the plot when they skip a huge portion of it, I played the game and so much of the plot is skipped. Character portrayals just makes me question if they're even the same character from the game besides their appearance. Especially the Doktah, he is always portrayed as a cold and calculated badass despite his weak physique in the game, in this anime ... he's more boring than even the most generic isekai protagonist which is quite the achievement. The decision to make the anime 8 episode long should've been clear to anyone who played the game, or just and average anime viewer really, that the story is going to be super rushed which I am ashamed that I was one of the people who didn't saw that coming. The voice acting feels like they just hired random people of the street to voice act them, 0 emotions exist in those words. It actually hurts that you can tell that the animators were doing they're best with their miniscule budget when you hear the voice acting. The only character I found remotely enjoyable was Exusiai and the wait for her to appear was not worth it. It's quite a shame cause this anime could've been pretty good because I think that the original writing in the game was good but still has it's fair share of flaws, it was too drawn out sometimes and the visual novel style of story telling really doesn't work well when the game's story seems to be written in a screen writing style. What got my hopes up is how efficiently the anime was able to show the Doktah's amnesia in the former half of the first episode and how the anime doesn't make Amiya explain Doktah's condition to every single character like in the game and the great visuals. Those are my only compliments about this anime. The rest is just trash.
