Both of the series are episodic and each episode, the mc changes, focusing on their mental problems. Usually by the end of the episode, the mcs' problems are fixed with the help of the character that the show revolves around. Both are very unique animes although Paranoia agent has more of a mystery and a thriller vibe wheras kuuchuu buranko has an upbeat and a colorful vibe.

They are both mystery and psychological thrillers animes that involve both MCs that are anti-heroes and are known to be criminals; or "villains" in the story. It is rare to have MCs that arent necessarily heros as the main characters and that is what makes them both unique and similar I guess. Also involves 3 main characters that include 2 guys and a girl. Recommend both if you enjoyed one of them.

It's quite similar since the 2 main characters are boys who are close and the plot they are in are similar for example, in No. 6, the 2 main characters have cured a type of disease that is originally created by some factory... I'm not sure if I'm right since I'm not good at explaining. But I recommend this anime
