Really glad for the high praise, thank you for the encouragement! Ngl I've toyed with the idea of finding other avenues of voicing my rants (Anitube?) and really putting myself out there, but first I wanna experience more of the medium's best at my own pace. Plus I've been hanging out a lot on AniList (awesome community) and fumbling around with my time management, so I'm not quite comfortable committing to (or monetizing) the kind of work a formal blog would require. I'm humbled by the vote of confidence though, perhaps I'll consider branching out once I feel like I've got my shit together hehe.

My start in anime was kinda casual, mainly just watched the popular stuff based on my peers' recommendations. I only became a full-on fan several years later, and even then I haven't seen a ton of shows. Maybe my jaded perspective on a majority of Western TV shows (syndication is a b*tch) and their tropes helped my engage with the Japanese stuff a lot better. I've also noticed my perspective on media is pretty distinct, partly because I prefer to take my time to reflect on what I consume.

I'm just happy that people have been generally receptive of my takes. It started out as a hobby but nice responses like this one have motivated me to make more brain farts. Thanks so much!
