Quintessential quintuplets is definitely one of the best harem romance manga's out there.
Unlike most harems, quint has a objectively good ending where the mc chooses 1 girl seriously. This ending is actually pretty good story-wise, and subjectively, i loved it. You get teased at the ending throughout the series about who wins. The story is consistent and moves forwards well, all the girls get around the same amount of attention and personal arcs. Overall all the characters get character development which is satisfying to see if your best girl didn't win. Some ppl dislike the ending mostly because they say it doesn't make sense,
...
but that's just them not paying attention to every little thing that all the girls have done during the series.
The art is pretty good and clean, there aren't many different art styles, but its generally nice to look at, and the volume covers are actually stunning.
The characters are not only consistent from the very beginning, but their roles are perfectly balanced, each character get development throughout the story, some early, and some late, but they all get their own time to shine. The author does a good job of making each of the characters diverse, and likable, obviously there will be some girls that most ppl will hate and some that everyone likes, but that's just degenerate taste.
My enjoyment grew every chapter, i watched both seasons of the anime and i still reread all the chapters ive already seen, but it was still a great read. The ending is sudden but at the same time stretched out, and because my best girl one i obviously was overjoyed.
Overall Quint is going to be one of my favorite mangas for a while, the story is captivating in the first couple of chapters, its gets deeper quickly, and each character gets a happy and satisfying ending.

i watched till ep 10, i read the manga, too lazy to watch rest, apparently they skipped over 100 chaps in the last 3 eps, so that was pretty crazy, but i didnt watch it anyway.
hmmm, its pretty good, but the anime is way too fucking slow at times, the manga was better in my opinion because of the pacing but then again there were over 100 filler chaps. art is pretty good with good animation, characters are pretty good, story was fine but the ending is anticlimactic, sound is ok, bllbllblalblablalbblblbla. i wish there were more eps or a s2 for some of the

100 chaps they didnt cover so that the other characters could get some screentime but they didnt and im too lazy to watchthe last 3 eps. I left this on ep 10 for at least 5 months after its release and wanted to get that dumbass tab off my chrome so i watched hte last 3mins of the last ep.

The Irregular at magic highschool is not what it sounds like. The story is based on a "irregular" magic highschooler whois OP, as usual. However when the plot gets deep, rather than the Irregular student creating relationships with other students at the "highschool" the show is actually about this kid taking down terrorist organizations.
At the start of the show we find out that he has very little emotion, only ever caring about his sister, for some reason. With this kind of setup you would think that his character development would be opening up to his friends as the show goes on, but nothing
...
at all happens. In fact by the end of the season the MC has gone though no character development. Most of the characters feel as though they have been pulled straight from other animes and come with those cliches. It feels like they realized that the characters were bland too late in the development process and so to give them more character, they gave them more cliches. For example Erika is a tsundere who likes Leo, but out of nowhere in the middle of the series she somehow has a brother complex, and then a childhood friend complex. Im not saying that they cant have relationships with other characters, but none of the scenes were directed towards romance, and so adding a bunch of lines telling the viewer that 3 different guys like 1 girl doesnt add to the story at all. In fact there werent any scenes that we made to get 2 characters to like each other (until the last couple episodes) so when the series started or when a character is introduced it made no sense to immediately push 2 characters together. For example in the very first episode Erika and Leo fight over who is Tatsuya's friend, establishing that they already sort of like each other, but the problem is is that they have never met, and only knew Tatsuya for 1 day. Every piece of dialogue is forced to fit into some kind of cliche, but it isn't even effective as before the cliche affects the characters, the story goes back to the main plot.
The writing for Irregular at magic highschool is terrible it seems as though every side character is romantically interested in each other, however there arent any side stories, or scenes showing the characters actually bonding. The dialogue is horrendous, it seems that in an effort to make a scene feel romantic a character would say something randomly romantic, throwing the previous dialogue into the garbage. When the scene is meant to be worrying a character would make a worried statement like "I hope you all dont push yourselves too hard" when it doesn't add anything to the scene and just makes the show look stupid.
The characters are horrendously boring and again, have too many cliches. For example the MC's sister only ever speaks when its about her brother or someone is talking to her. She also only ever get angry when Tatsuya is nice to another girl. in every other scene shes just there. There are so many characters in this series and they try to fit them all in the same room for extra screen time, but most characters dont end up contributing to the story and just make the scenes look unnatural, because almost every character is somehow in the same room. Many of the characters are treated as tools, for example in ep 25 when the gang is trying to pin down where the attacks of the terrorists are coming from, one of the girls just happens to know the code to the VIP room which is all she does the entire arc.
the art and sound are overall fine. The character designs are somewhat basic, like Tatsuya looks so much like Kirito they decided to give him the same pose as Kirito in the OP. I like the difference in uniforms between weeds and blooms, but they never say why the girls dresses come in different designs. the OPs and EDs are pretty good and the inserts are adequate. However some fight scenes are actually hot garbage. Most fight scenes involving the MC is just him shooting a gun, and the magic sequence destroying stuff. Other fight scenes involving other characters are actually good though.
Overall I definitely disliked this anime. There are some goods to this anime, however i think that its the slow pacing at the start of each arc, and the fact that they fit in so many arcs in 26 episodes that ruined the anime. If each arc was given more time, and the characters got their own episodes to establish relationships and their personalities, this anime could have been 10 times better. Maybe season 2 could make it better.
