Dragon Ball Super is a sort of sequel to the original Dragon Ball manga. It came out 20 years after the end of the original manga, so when I first heard of it I was a bit excited but also thought that it was just a commercial move, so I watched the movies "Kami to Kami" and "Fukkatsu no F" first to consider if it was worth watching. These movies confirmed that the series was a commercial move but still they weren't too bad and I started watching the series even though I didn't expect DBS to be a masterpiece.
The best part of the whole
...
anime are the fighting scenes, none of them disappointed me even though some of them were dragged on for too long unnecessarily, specially in the last arc.
The story arcs are a bit superficial, definitely not on the same level as DBZ, even though one specific arc was thrilling and full of surprises. What is more interesting is that DBS deepens the Dragon Ball universe's lore by quite a bit, from the start to the end.
In this anime we see a lot of characters, specially in the last arc. Some of them are well known from the original manga and most of the new characters are divine beings, but none of them is particularly interesting except perhaps for Whis, almost no new characters' background is told anyway. We also see some character development throughout the series, such as Vegeta's, which is appreciated.
The original airing art and animations were bad, specially at the start of the anime, but they were corrected in the blu-ray versions. So the final art styles weren't bad but not that great nonetheless, same for the music.
In the end Dragon Ball Super is definitely not a series for everyone, if you haven't seen the original Dragon Ball then you should watch that first and if you have you can watch it only if you want to see Goku and Vegeta getting stronger and stronger and face new powerful foes, don't hold your breath for the story itself.

Fairy Tail is the worst battle shounen that i know of so far. Before reading it I had such high hopes for it and my disappointment grew slowly as i kept reading.
What disappointed me the most is the story, because every single arc kicks off very well, then many times goes on well too but the ending is always the same: no matter what happens or who the enemy is, in the end no one EVER dies (except for a few characters that were already doomed since long ago), no matter if some character is extremely weak compared to it's enemy, or he/she has been
...
beaten up almost to death, he/she will always win because of "the power of friendship"... Every single story arc gives you high hopes of an incredible story until the end, where something that makes completely no sense happens and the good guys win.
The overall lore is kind of good though, this is one of the reasons I kept reading Fairy Tail.
Overall characters are funny and get a good development, many of them start as bad guys and slowly end up as good guys, other people get incredibly strong without doing nothing and male and female characters are fanserviced alike.
The drawings are very good in my opinion, they have been good since the beginning but they keep improving as the story goes on, can't say anything negative here.
Overall there are many good points about Fairy Tail, it could have been a wonderful manga if not for the "no matter who I am, as long as i believe in friendship i can best any opponent, even if i'm a cockroach and I'm against a God" logic.
I recommend this manga to those who like funny characters, fanservice, good guys never lose against the bad guys, magic and lots of battle scenes. If you care a bit about a rational unfolding of events then you might be disappointed.

This is one of the best, if not the best, Dragon Ball movies so far!
The movie was super advertised, and i thought that perhaps it was just a marketing move, but after taking a slight peek at some fighting scenes i decided to give it a chance; also, the fact that Broly, one of the coolest and most evil Sayans was there and was made canon led me to watch the movie.
The things that make this movie stand out from other Dragon Ball content at the moment of this review are the animations overall and the fighting scenes specifically, they are so colorful and well
...
done!
Also the music isn't bad, it goes along well especially in the fighting scenes.
As far as the story and the characters are concerned, the story itself is not bad and fits well with the rest of the Dragon Ball storyline, specially the first part of the movie where some truths of the Dragon Ball universe are unveiled.
Most of the characters are well known and there's nothing new to add to them, but the most notable exceptions are Paragus and Broly. The first one isn't much different from the first Broly movie, while the latter is as strong and fierce as in the previous movies but is also a rational being.
If you're a fan of Dragon Ball you have every reason to watch the movie, while if you're not but you still like shounen fighting scenes, i still recommend this movie.
