Story: 6/10
From the summary: "Akutabe is a detective who summons devils to solve the troubles of his clients."
That's pretty much it ;D
The first episode was pretty meh, until the surprise guest appearance from Kugimiya Rie!!
From that point on, I was instantly hooked and forced myself to watch the whole thing, only to be disappointed that she only shows up in episode 1 TT.TT
Characters: 9/10
One thing I enjoyed in this anime was the characters. They are DEFINITELY unique. I've seen a fair bit of anime, but haven't come across characters like these... ever. I admit, I've grown attached to them and look forward to more in
...
season 2. Huge props to the seiyuus in this one as well, they all did a wonderful job "becoming" their respective characters and it was totally believable. All of their voices were spot-on accurate.
Oh yeah, and did I mention Kugimiya Rie is in this?? ^.^
Music: 6/10

It's got a catchy tune, but got pretty repetitive while marathoning XD
Also, it's one of those songs that are annoying when stuck in your head.
Uhhh, I can't seem to recall any notable backround music at all either but meh~ That's not what this anime is about.
Art: 10/10
I enjoyed the art, it was clean, pleasant to my eyes and I think they did a great job with it.
There were some closeup detailed pics of the characters where I rememinded myself to make a note of because they actually caught my attention while watching the anime. I'm a huge fan of delinquent-faces, and this anime had quite a few of them, so I was happy ^.^
Overall Enjoyment: 9/10
I actually enjoyed this anime to the point of giving it a 9/10 on MAL. Why? Because it's one of the things I've been looking for! I've asked people countless times at many places that I was looking for anime that were set "after highschool" you know, about people with jobs, or no jobs XD, or in college, etc. But NOBODY ever mentioned this!?? Also, I'm a fan of the type of comedy in this anime. It's so... upfront you know? They don't hold back. I like it. I was actually surprised that every ep was only 13 minutes long, but hey - made it faster to complete~
I would reccommed this anime if and only if you're into what I like to call "offensive-comedy".
This ain't your typical comedy anime, but it's unique that's for sure.
Also note, not the funniest I've ever seen.
FINAL RATE: 40/50
Not bad, I'd say that this is a fairly accurate score for this anime.
It's short (13 min episodes), and doesn't have a steady plot at all - But it's all about the jokes.
Things that I'm hoping for in S2: Longer episodes, and an actual story XD
Defnitely give this anime a shot if you're looking for some quick laughs~
Reccomendations:
- Panty & Stocking With Garterbelt -
I feel like the comedy style in both these anime are extremely similar, what I called before, "offensive-comedy".
Both anime are suited towards more.. elder audiences IMO 17+ I'd say.
If you enjoyed one of these, I'm sure you'd enjoy the other. I know I did.
- Beelzebub -
I got the same vibe from both anime. The vibe where in their worlds, nobody gives a sh*t about you're opinion and at the end of the day, it's all about making your life miserable. ! The theme ! DEMONS.
Also, the detective guy in this is pretty similar looking to Oga Tatsumi XD

Story: 10/10
I can't remember what first made me decide to watch this anime, but I was a pretty big Gundam SEED fan and was hungry for more and I heard that this was the next best thing, maybe even better. Boy - did I hear correctly! One of the things I love most about Gundam is that it isn't set in an alternate universe or anything, it's always set in an imagined future. The thing about Gundam 00 is that it's imagined future was really thought out well and it's like an actual possible future for our current world! At first, as always, the story
...
is very political and you get introduced to all the factions and organizations and their goals, etc. It really reminded me of Code;Geass/Death Note, what with Celestial Being playing the "peace-keeping/justice" role for Earth. Every single episode was very interesting and manages to progress through the story one way or another. One of the main points is the mystery Celestial Being in every episode. It just leaves you more curious at the end of each ep to want to continue on to the next one. I don't know how to explain much more without spoiling, but.. The story was amazing.
There was nothing to complain about with the ending and it did a marvelous job of leading into Season 2.
Characters: 10/10
Each and every one of the Gundam meisters had amazing backstories that created their individuality/current personas and yes, you actually find out each of their pasts. I can't really say what they are without spoiling though. One of the unique things about this anime is that there really isn't simply 1 main character. All the meisters are as equally important as the other! The relationships between them and their backgrounds are but simply one of the many reasons why this anime was so good. All of the Gundam meisters are soo cool too! XD (As well as their Gundam's of course~)
Heck, I'd confidently say that every single character in this anime was perfectly created. I was even fans of the Antagonists, one of which is voiced by my fave: Kugimiya Rie!!
Music: 10/10
One of the things Gundam is best known for are their amazing soundtracks which most of you probably know I never stop raving about XD The openings and endings as well as the OST for this anime were GOD-LIKE.
For example, these are some of the greatest anime openings ever created IMO:

Art: 10/10
The thing that drew me to this anime the most was the HD art! Don't believe me? Just look at those OP's above!
Those stunning visuals are B-E-A-UTIFUL. The art is so.. so... sleek. All of the characters have defining features and the Gundams are all amazing So much detail!! I can't even imagine how much work they put into this anime. Both the males and females were very pleasing to watch. I heard that almost the entire staff of Sunrise was used in this anime's development. And the end result is just amazing. This is exactly what happens when a bunch of talented people team up to create a masterpiece.
Overall Enjoyment: 10/10
Every single episode was so addicting and left a great impression on me, all the way up to the end. Just to let you guys know, I started this anime and then watched non-stop until the end of Season 2. That's how addicting.
(Season 2, HUGE plot twists) Every single damn thing in this anime was amazing. There's literally nothing one could complain about. Every person I know who's seen this has loved it as much as I do. It's always a great experience to witness a true anime masterpiece.
FINAL RATE: 50/50 (10/10 on MAL)
Yes, a perfect score. As you might know already (or perhaps not) all I only rate an anime 10/10 on MAL if I consider it a must-see, or if it blew my mid the whole way through. If you can sit through some politics, enjoy having your morals questioned and are willing to keep an open mind, it's a fantastic series and I recommend it. If the amazing artwork doesn't draw you in, the story and characters will. Even if you want to pay no heed to the story, the stunning visuals during battles are worth watching on their own. Very rarely is there a wasted moment in the show, spare one recap episode told from a different character's perspective. I can't possibly recommend this series more highly.
Reccomendations:
- Gundam 00 S2 -
Obviously watch the sequal after S1!! It's a rare occurence when the second season is just as good, if not better, than the first! O.O
- Code;Geass -
The way Celestial Being acted as peacekeepers and believing in absolute justice and the way they excecuted thier missions really reminded me of Code;Geass, also the heirachy of power.... is a thing to watch for ;D
- Mobile Suit Gundam SEED -
The anime which led me to this one. It's a very hard decision for me to choose which Gundam series I enjoyed more so... why not both? I reccomend Gundam SEED if you liked 00, because they're quite similar in the fact that the art, characters, music, and story were both on the "god-like" level. Ingenious.... masterpiece... Finding words to praise both these anime is really quite difficult XD

Story: 6/10
I'm going to start by saying that I have not read the manga for this or played the VN if there was one.
The plot line for Accel World was a bumpy road for me. It was really all over the place. The first episode was nice because it really pulled me in, but then from there to about episode 5 there was really no action and it was all talk. It bore me up to the point where I actually dropped this series while it was airing. I only decided to pick it up because I'm on holidays and wanted something recent to watch.
...
Anyways getting back to the story, I'm just going to be honest and say that I didn't like it. While watching I felt bored and felt like I was just watching it because I wanted to finish it, not because it was amazing. Usually the first season is the one that attracts all the viewers, but if Accel World ever gets another season, I have a feeling that I'll enjoy it more. If there's anything that this story lacked, it was action. For an anime called Accel World and which is all about accelerating, you'd think there would be more action. I'd say it was 90% talking, 10% fights. The fights weren't anything inspiring either.. I found myself predicting what would happen numerous times.
Characters: 6/10
Being an anime about a whole virtual world, there were tons of characters introduced. There still remains several unrevealed back stories especially for one of the main characters, so at the end of it all you're still left with tons of questions. There certainly were a ton of characters that just disappeared throughout the story and could have used some more screen time. I don't really know what to say, I just feel like everything was poorly planned out. There's so much darkness.
Even though it was 24 episodes I felt like I only watched 5.
The girls were OP and the guys were wimps. In the future I predict it'll be the opposite though. But for this particular season it was saddening.
Music: 6/10
I didn't particularly grow found to either of the two opening or ending songs for Accel World. I feel like music didn't suit the videos or the anime. The background music was also sub-par, I can't even remember a single tune even though I just finished watching all 24 episodes in a row. It was plain and random.
Art: 8/10
The art was nice, and the girls were cute ^.^
That's pretty much what got all the points.
The boys however.. tsk tsk tsk..
I can't say that there were any "cool" male characters that aired in this anime.
It was complete female dominance. Not that I have a problem with that but..
Seriously, all the girls were OP and the guys were helpless wimps. Of course they're going to become stronger in the long-run but for this particular season it was unfortunate. The background art was okay, nothing really unusual or striking/notable.
Overall Enjoyment: 7/10
My overall feeling at the end of Accel World was, "meh". It was good, but nothing amazing. There wasn't a single time where I had that feeling like, "OMG I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE THE NEXT EPISODE" it was all.. meh. Whenever suspense would build up, it would always end in a mediocre way. I should have just continued watching it weekly because I kind of feel like I wasted my time with this. At the moment I wouldn't recommend this anime to anyone, but I have a small hope for a second season that will be much better. There was so much juicy stuff that was left out and waiting to be revealed and I can't wait to see that.
FINAL RATE: 33/50 (7/10 on MAL)
"Meh" anime. Wasn't amazing. Felt like a waste of time, especially being 24 episodes.
I dropped it while it was airing for a good reason I suppose.
In my opinion, all the good stuff that I wanted to see was left out and unmentioned for now...
HOWEVER!
Tons of potential left for a sequel that could make all of this worthwhile.
Hopefully the manga-readers are enjoying it, because the rest of the story is what I'm interested in.
Reccomendations:
If you liked Accel World, or even if you didn't, I recommend the following anime...
- Sword Art Online -
It's pretty much the exact same thing.. but better. And the music is waaaay better.
Accel World is in the future of SAO... So this is kind of like the prequel.
- [C] The Money of Soul and Possibility Control -
This is a 11 ep anime but it has everything. A great story, characters, and a very nice ending.
It's also about a guy who fights in "another world"
- Guilty Crown -
Futuristic? Check, Awesome? Check, Derpy protagonists? Check, Awesome female protagonists? Check, Rival childhood friends? Check, Awesome seiyuu? Check!! What else is there to list?
Most of the seiyyuu are the same as well~

Story: 10/10
Yuuta is desperatly trying to avoid and trash his past, but he can't because Rikka is always following him around like a lost child, and to add to his luck she also goes to his school. As Yuuta and Rikka's lives become more and more joined, they start to become closer. Can't get better than that~
Characters: 8/10
The characters are awesome. I don't really know what else I can say about them..
I didn't like sleep-girl or cheerleading-girl that much though. For me, it was ALL Rikka, Dekomori, and Yuuta~
Just
...
they're pasts, stories, and imagination are something I've never seen in an anime before~
Music: 10/10
The sound quality when it came to battles, playing and lousing around was great. The voice actors/actresses were brilliant and portrayed the characters very well. The opening + ending song video and music were also good, but nothing amazing/memorable for my tastes apart from the awesome .gifs they provided

When it comes to seeing through Rikka and Dekomori's (her "servant") eyes, the story becomes very magical. Since they see everything different, it is a whole new adventure for people to see. Pretend battles, alternate playing fields are all part of Rikka's eighth grader syndrome. Not to mention that everything outside of their imagination is also brilliant. The lighting and colouring hit the spot well and gave off a surperb feeling. Here are some screenshots:

Overall Enjoyment: 10/10
I was going to give Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai! a 9/10, but couldn't when I saw the ending...
Everything seemed in place and well co-ordinated, and to be honest I don't know how they pulled it off. Watching the characters develop and adjust to situations was great and an experience I can live over and over again.
FINAL RATE: 48/50
To clarify in case one didn't realize this already, I'm rating this anime so high because I personally thoroughly enjoyed it. You might be able to tell by now that I'm not in any way a serious critic and simply rate the anime I like, what I rate them - for me. This is in no shape or form the best anime ever, but it's one of my favourites thus this score. I love anime that are unique and give me a new experience that I've never seen before, and this anime is one of them~
Was really surprised that a second season was announced, but I'm not complaining! Can't wait for that to air next season hopefully~ Obviously recommending EVERYONE to watch this anime, I'd definitely say that people of all ages will enjoy it.
Reccomendations:
There's nothing else like this anime. It's one of those definite must-watch masterpieces.

Story: 9/10
Suisei no Gargantia was pretty predictable for the most part by me, I can't recall how but subconciously I had seen this story before. After seeing the discussion about Gen Urobuchi doing this anime:
People are going to die in this anime?!?
I thought it was a happy-go-lucky anime that teaches valuables lessons like the importance of human life and family and stuff...
A rather interesting quote of myself while I was watching the series, little did I know that this is basically the whole reason of
...
the anime! This is an anime about the meaning of life. Nonetheless, it was magnificently excecuted if I do say so myself, in fact, you could even say it was executed too well. By that, I mean that this anime was on the level of a MOVIE! Not sure if I was the only one who saw it that way, but this could have easily have been a 5-star anime movie. Something about the art, the plot, the characters.. everything! It was so... movie-like y'know what I mean?? Anyways, the point being that this is high-quality stuff we're dealing with here~ I remember when I saw the 1st episode when it aired I was totally blown away and got a tear in my eye, reminiscing that anime has come a long way to the point where we get quality like this. Well, I can't say much without spoiling, but if you read the summary above, you'll get a pretty accurate idea of this anime is all about ;D
Characters: 8/10
The characters in Suisei no Gargantia were very impressive IMO. The things about them that stood out to me the most were that they had feelings, and great voice actors~ Even the side/un-important characters had great famous/popular seiyuu! Though the only important ones were Ledo on Chamber through my percepective..
At the beginnign they introduced many of them, but it was pretty apparent that they disappear and become unimportant to the point where you wonder if there was a reason to introducing them at all. Take Amy for example (the female lead), it's weird and I'm not sure I've seen this in an anime before but the whole time it just felt like she was just "there" but she didn't need to be, almost as if they were forcing her character presense. Some sort of twisted and weird fanservice? No matter, it is but a trifling matter that simply irritated me. Also the other girl Bellows, she's introduced in the anime as if she's important or something but in the end even Amy's friend Melty becomes more impactful than her XD It's even arguable that the pirate queen "Rukkage" is even more important than her! My point in this rant being that, Bellows and Amy were sort of "hyped" in the anime but never really did anything and felt forced IMO. The good stuff though was that Ledo, Chamber and Pinion were excellent in every way.
Music: 10/10
Opening/Ending + OST were all very well-done, nothing felt weird or misplaced and like I said earlier.. I'm talking movie-quality. That's the one point I really have to emphasize about this anime. I find it difficult to even call this an anime. It's a movie. I mean, just look at these videos!!? Totally movie-style. Reminds me of one of them Ghibli movies.

Art: 10/10
All I have to repeat here is... Movie-like-quality. The blu-ray release of this will certainly be impressive~
Overall Enjoyment: 8/10
Going with MAL ratings, I'll have to give this anime an 8 (Very Good). I have a feeling that it won't be very memorable for me in the future, however if this was a movie, (like a 2/3/4 hour movie) I'd say hands down that it's one of the best I've ever seen. I admit that there were a couple times were I had no clue what was going to happen and that the anime could have taken many different course - but overall I'm pleased with what they did and it was the expected end result.
FINAL RATE: 45/50
I loved many anime that the Spring '13 lineup had to offer, though I'd have to say Suisei no Gargantia is one of the more forgettable ones out of the bunch. At the end of the day though, Gargantia is a great watch, packed with colorful animation, a well written story, and interesting characters. It might have been a bit better as a movie, but I came out of Gargantia very satisfied regardless.
Recommendations:
- Eureka Seven -
Out of everything, Suisei no Gargantia reminded me most of this. Setting aside difference between one another and learning about the wonders of life. If you're interested why not check out my review?~
- Mobile Suit Gundam 00 -
Following blind orders, being in the future, meaningless fighting amoung ourselves, and the order of power through a type of "feudalism". Both these anime are immensely similar in those ways. Find out more about Gundam 00 here.

Story: 8/10
AKB0048 started off great. I really like an anime that has a perfect first episode, and from then on every other episode had me in tears. I don't know if that was due to the fact that I sacrificed a whole six and a half hours of sleep to watch this or because I was emotionally touched in some way. Probably both. This anime is just so unique though. Idol anime + Action + Mecha + Cute Girls. What more could you want? Oh yeah, plus it actually has a decent story. It's dark, mysterious, filled with love, hate, jealousy, and all that nasty
...
stuff. The only reason I can't give the story a 10/10 is because it's incomplete
But that's why there's a second season airing at the moment!
Characters: 10/10
Even though there are so many characters and I still can't name 3 of them off the back of my head, they were great. I don't listen to K-pop, J-pop or any of that stuff, nor do I keep up with the latest about that kind of stuff. I do however, know the hardships that girls have to go through in order to become idols and this anime does a pretty damn good job of showing it through another perspective. The constant fear of being replaced, competing with your friends non-stop, hours and hours of giving it their all, just to please us. I could really relate to some of the things they went through so this anime had some positive impact on me. I also believe that the characters were voiced by actual AKB48 members so that was a cool change~
Music: 10/10

I'm sure by watching those you can already tell.. This anime is like no other.
Aside from the awesome opening, the anime was also filled with songs which played at the perfect moments.
Art: 10/10
HD. What can I say? It's unique. Like nothing I've seen before. Bright colours, dark colours...
There was really nothing faulty about it. Only one thing annoyed me for a while, and that was their eyes. But then I figured out that there was a meaning behind them, so my peeve is invalid!
Overall Enjoyment: 10/10
I just decided to start this anime at 3am on a whim and ended up watching it all the way through to 9am without sleep, that must mean something right? It was quite an enjoyable anime unlike anything I've seen before. Literally.. I have not seen ANYTHING that's comparable. Unless you can show me another anime about inter-galactic idols who use guns and mechas fighting like.. tanks and stuff, while singing and performing in front of huge crowds...
So as you can tell.. I really enjoyed this anime. It was fresh.
And while I can't recommend it to everyone, I'd say to at least give it a chance.
It's pretty underrated.
VOTED BEST ANIME OF 2012 BY ANIMENZZZ
FINAL RATE: 48/50 (9/10 on MAL)
All I can say is, there is no other anime that is comparable.
It's either a masterpiece, or complete madness. You decide.
All I'm saying is that you should at least give this anime a shot, otherwise you're missing a lot of fun~

Story: 5/10
Episode 1 was probably the most interesting episode out of all of them. It definitely succeeded in making me interested and catching me on and making me continue. The downfall of this anime though was that it was completely rushed, maybe because it was only 10 episodes? The whole anime felt like half of a regular anime if you know what I mean "time-wise". Because it was so short, I didn't really get attached to any of the characters or even caring about them because even at the end, so little is known about them. The one who's most backstory was revealed was the
...
"little oujo-sama", and the other two I have like absolutely no idea about. Was pretty disappointing and I'm hoping they don't mess up if this anime gets another season.
Characters: 4/10
As stated above, the only past you get a reasonable glimpse from is Asuka's (the rich-girl-character) and barely anything is revealed at all about the other two main characters. There was a point in the anime in the hot springs where the black rabbit asked of their pasts but one of the characters quickly changed the subject. Another thing that was disappointing to see through my point of view was that there was absolutely zero "clutch-moments". You know, when a main character could potentially die, get wounded, or injured, etc... Those moments that bring you closer to the character and make you "care" about them a bit more. Yeah, there was none of that. The whole anime was basically watching these incredibly overpowered as **** characters wreak havoc on everything. Okay maybe there were some injuries, but there wasn't a doubt in my mind the whole entire time that it could ever end badly for these guys. Especially for the male lead. The whole anime went by with him starting as OP and ending as OP - and he's not even at his limit yet. The other "unknown" girl (I'll call her animal-girl), also had like the least screen time of any main character I've ever seen. She got one episode to herself, and then that was it basically. It's even obvious from what I'm typing at the moment.. I just finished watching this anime in one go and the only name I remember is the rabbit's, because her name was Black Rabbit (Kuro-Usagi)!
Music: 7/10
The opening and ending were okay, and extra points for chibi-ending. During the anime I recall many times were there was no music at all when there should have been. I always say this, music is what seperates the good anime from the great anime.
Art: 10/10
At least there's nothing wrong with the art~
Probably one of the key factors that stopped me from dropping this other than the fact that it was only 10 episodes. Art + Animation 10/10 though~
Overall Enjoyment: 4/10
I didn't enjoy this anime. It was boring, nothing really happens in it, and in the end I wasn't engaged in it at all. It had ridiculously Over-Powered characters, nothing is known about them, anime ends in cliffhanger --> season 2. The only thing it had going for it was the nice art and animation. I just wanted it off my plan to watch list because it was only 10 eps. Maybe it's because I marathoned it and didn't watch it weekly? One thing that I can say for certain though, is that this anime definitely doesn't deserve many of the scores and reviews that I saw for it.
Wouldn't recommend this to anyone, could barely call this an anime. It's too incomplete.
FINAL RATE: 30/50
A grim and sad truth.
I was expecting that this anime would have been better as I heard and read many good things about it, but I came out disappointed in the anime and even more disappointed in the people who told + wrote such things. If this were to get a second season I sincerely hope that they don't mess up as bad as they did with this.
It definitely had potential.
Recommendations:

If you like incredibly Over-Powered main characters then you'll like these as well~
Although, Sword Art Online had an amazing OST so you'll at least feel more engaged in it.

Story: 7/10
Was definitely a unique harem, but a harem nontheless~
One thing to mention while on that topic though, is that it actually had a pretty decent story. I was impressed.
But y'know, it had all those typical harem features so I gotta admit almost everything was pretty predictable.
But again, heavy emphasis on that almost everything, because there were a couple parts that I totally didn't see coming. Especially the ending. carrying on into a 2nd season. Overall I'd say the story was okay, and don't recall ever being bored~ ^.^
...
(hardly any filler stuff at all).
Characters: 9/10
For a harem, I was impressed that many of the characters got a ton of interaction, screen time, and backstory.
Aside from all the main girls being awesome ;D, I even enjoyed theside-characters! For example, whenever they were out in public, they'd always run into these three girl classmates that are loafing about and there was this one girl with glasses that always got her one'liner off where she manages to find an excuse to call Shido, "creepy/gross" one way or another XD. Definitely my favourite side-character.
Also the main girls. All of them were so unique, had totally different character traits, and AMAZING costumes/wardrobes
I mean.. c'mon... Kurmi?!!!!??
She's like one of the hottest characters ever created in a long time!
Just look at dat!

You know... we're in the year 2013 now, and I'm loving it~
Music and art always seems to be flawless ^.^
But back on topic... all I gotta say is.. DAT OPENING SONG.

One of the best openings of the season, and amazingly enough became my top played OP on iTunes rising to 1170 plays within the first week XD Best harem opening song ever?
(Note: at 1:31 you can see the side-character I was raving about earlier..)
Aside from the OP, the background OST was also fairly good and I downloaded it as soon as it was available

Deja-vu???
How about a teaser then...
If this doesn't make you interested in Date A Live, then I don't know what will!

Overall Enjoyment: 9/10
Defintely enjoyed it, haven't seen a good "newer" harem in a while, but I'm gald I came across this.
I mean.. it had one of my favourite voice actors in it, it had TONS of GRREEAAT fanservice, mechas, comedy.. what more could I want? The only reason I didn't give it a ten was due to the cliffhanger ending, which I personally felt was unecessary story-wise, but understand that they want to milk out as much $$ as possible with this so they just popped it in there~
Who would I recommend this to? Harem lovers~
FINAL RATE: 45/50
Above average harem anime I'd say, great girls
I enjoyed this series as it provided a few chuckles, and some tasteful ecchi moments but not to the point where the female characters' boobs have a rave party at every moment,(Highschool of the Dead), and the unique dating harem aspect. I highly recommend watching this series if you liked similar anime such as Angel Beats!, or Sekirei, the To Love Ru series and Sora No Otoshimono (Forte). They fill the time well and the episodes aren't full of too much filler, with some comedy on the side you'll blitz through all 12 episodes in a few hours without knowing it. It's a definite good series and worth watching, the only fault I find it with is the change of pace in the plot development, and the possibility of not having a second season XD.
(though I really, really, hope for that second season... )
Recommendations:
- The World God Only Knows -
Yeah to those who watched The World God Only Knows, this is just like it. Just with... lesser girls.
- Sekirei -
Probably the anime I thought this was most similar to, although Shido wasn't competing against any other guys XD But they way he had to "save" the girls was similar ^.^
- To Love-Ru -
Typical harem recommendation to the lord of all harems..

Story: 7/10
This, is the PERFECT image to describe my experience watching every episode of both seasons.
Going into details about the story without spoiling things for this particular anime is pretty difficult.. Should you decide to give this series a try though, I have a little challenge for you!~
- Try to predict what will happen in the next episode.
I personally failed miserably at this challenge since this anime was so over-the-top XD
...
Here's another way of looking at it:
Season 1 - BAD
Season 2 - Best possible ending to cover up all the bad stuff~
If I were to criticize the story as I was watching the episodes one by one, I would be bashing this sooo much more, but looking back at the series as a whole, I actually enjoyed it! ^.^
Sure - there were a couple unexplained things still left at the end, but nitpicking at tiny stuff like that is not my style.
If I could compare this to a similar experience though, it felt like I was watching Higurashi all over again.
As I was watching the episodes, I had no idea wtf was going on or what drug the script writer was taking as it seemed like he wanted to make this anime fit into every genre imaginable.
Think about this for a second.. Highschool Vampires vs. Space Nazis...
It all comes together at the end though... thankfully...
There's just.. so much suffering XD
I'll be honest, the reason I went to watch this anime is because I kept seeing it being called, "Valvrape the Penetrator" everywhere, so that got me curious.. I'm now part of the individuals who understand that reference...
Characters: 5/10
There's almost no backstory to any of the characters (HEAVY emphasis on, "almost" though), but I guess giving too much backstory would be pointless and a waste of time as you will find out should you decide to watch this~
I really didn't grow attached to any of the characters though.. the goals they were fighting for, they're likability, just like.. everything about them, both protagonists and antagonists.
They all just sort of... fade away... ;D
There were a bunch of characters I just hated though..
And the ONE character that I did like.. became irrelavent after a couple episodes.... TT.TT
Music: 8/10
The OST for this anime was almost non-existant and not memorable at all.
HOWEVER!
The opening songs on the other hand were AWESOME, especially S2's which I REALLY grew attached to
Sung by T.M.Revolution! (Sang the Gundam SEED OP's, also lead singer of Abingdon Boys School)
Switched to Dailymotion vids since YouTube took em down... Switch to HD for the full experience~

Of course Sunrise Studio gets perfect score for art.
Didn't really like the Valvrave models though and thought they were OP, they looked like bugs... I'm not a fan of bugs...
Overall Enjoyment: 8/10
All in all, I gotta give this series this score. I mean, in the end it was a pretty joyfull ride full of wtf moments and laughter for me. Like it's hard to take the serious story seriously with all the shenanigans that goes on. But.. I liked it O.o
Lots of people compared it to Gundam 00, but honestly, it's soo hard to top that anime. This was just a failed attempt IMO.
Like, for argument's sake, let's say this series aired before 00 - the scores it would be getting would be A LOT higher, heck I might've considered giving it a 10/10.
But topping a masterpiece is such a hard thing to do~
At the end, you just gotta sit back like me and think about it.. it wasn't that bad. :D
FINAL RATE: 38/50 (S1 7/10, S2 8/10 on MAL)
Some people would say these are generous scores for this series, but I feel like it's just right.
If the ending wasn't so perfect, then the score would be a lot lower.
It really closed the show for good, and I'm both glad and confident that it will stay that way.
With the trainwreck of S1, S2 was the most perfect ending this anime could have got.
This gives me hope for more awesome works from Sunrise Studios~
Though I heard Buddy Complex which is airing this season is pretty similar to this anime O.O
Gulp.. We shall see...
Reccomendations:
- Code;Geass -
Countless times throughout Valvrave, I was reminded of striking similarities to Code;Geass.
L-Elf is pretty much LeLouche.
- Mobile Suit Gundam 00 -
The anime Valvrave was trying to beat.
Gundam 00's story just flowed waayy smoother.
- Guilty Crown -
Highschool kids working together "most of the time" against the adult world.
The reason can't get any more precise than that :/
