(Sorry, this is my first time writing a recommendation so please don't expect it to be great!) In both series, the two main characters live under the same roof under certain circumstances and suddenly go to the same school. Both male leads share the same characteristics, meaning: Tall, handsome, smart, and like to tease the female lead. Same goes for the female leads as they share their specialties. In Marmalade Boy, the two main characters are thrown upon many love triangles along the way, making it difficult to build up their relationship. As for Itazura na Kiss, I suppose the same idea revolves around heartbreak and jealousy.
