I'm gonna write it short and sweet, straight to the point. The manga is pretty much 8-9/10 up until chapter 32. Its tone was so enchanting and light-hearted I could keep on reading it the way it was forever. However, from chapter 33 onwards the story shifts from being centered around MC's relationship with main love interest and their fun times together to other stuff which brings the whole thing down to 6/10 throughout most of the remaining chapters. There are still some interesting chapters here and there and some fun to be had with the series, but after that tone shift it almost feels
...
like there's no coming back. That being said, i will definitely read this manga to its very conclusion and i'm sure i will have some fun and heartache while reading it, so I'm confident it will be worth the time.
I definitely recommend giving it a read if you want to find something wholesome and light-hearted with a bit of romance.

Re:Monster is not a very ambitious kind of manga, being quite generic with almost everything, however it is fun and easy to read - i can recommend it to anyone who is interested in manga with mmorpg fantasy setting. Ok, lets break the whole thing down.
Story - 7
In my opinion, the biggest shortcomings (at least for the starting chapters) of most 'stuck in mmorpg world' stories are:
-how/why did the protagonist wind up in the situation that he's in this world
-what makes the protagonist special
Those 2 subjects are usually done pretty lazily, because the story doesn't plan on going back to them *ever*. Unfortunately the Re:monster
...
is the same in this case, with very unattractive introduction. That's why the story doesn't deserve higher score.
What's good about the story - being slow-paced, it explores thoroughly the aspect of forming a growing society of warriors with the main protagonist as the leader. Considering that the story of 23 chapters so far is taking place only in the forest they were all born in which already seems like a huge limitless place, makes you feel the story has indefinite ways of developing, which is a pretty great perspective.
Character - 6
The only interesting character in the story is the very MC himself, the rest is unfortunately pretty bland. I like some of the relations between Rou and his subordinates, which seem to give some characteristic to other characters, however it seems to be too little. One irritating thing is
Art - 8
It's pretty good, on the level of all good manga published nowadays. It's characters are drawn pretty nicely - my only problem is the lazy attitude towards backgrounds. It's full of background effects, lacking almost any real backgrounds, making it sometimes pretty hard to actually imagine the area the action takes place in.
Enjoyment - 8
What's to say - i liked it :P Didn't rock my world, didn't bore me, it was fun to read and it feels it has good perspectives for development.
Overall - 8
To summ up, the manga has it's shortcomings and it's pretty simple, however it is interesting to read if you like this kind of setting.

By all means this show can't be compared to the greatest ones you've seen, however i believe it's pretty damn solid and i can easily recommend you to watch it, considering you're interested enough to read a review of it.
Now, lets break the whole thing down in parts:
Story - 7
The whole world setting is pretty simple - some ppl have superpowers, god knows why - doesn't matter. The story is pretty interesting, so if you might like the combination of genres 'Action, Comedy, Mystery, Seinen, Supernatural', then you won't be disappointed. Altough i would call this show a Shounen rather than a Seinen (the fact
...
that characters are working adults instead of being highschoolers doesn't make a series a seinen imo). The comedy is at most places pretty juvenile and won't make you laugh out loud most of the times, however it should reduce the distance between you and the characters
Art - 8
The animation/art isn't extraordinary nor anything new , however it doesn't fall short in comparison to other shows of the season. I also liked the character designes of most of the characters (especially Kyouka's).
Sound - 7
I don't recall any ost from the show that i loved, it was ok though. The opening and ending did not catch my ear all that much either. However the music does work well with everything that happens on the screen and will make you more involved with the action, so i can say it's good.
Character - 9
I liked them, simple as that. Dazai & Kunikida duo is pretty damn entertaining to watch, other main characters are pretty interesting as well, i surely hope i will get to know them better in the next season of the show.
Enjoyment - 8
Got nothing to say in the subject, simply seems like a cool show to watch.
Overall - 8
The show is interesting and fun to watch, it's a strong position among this season's anime, deserving to be in top 5 in popularity ranking of the season.
To summ up, it's a show worth watching, you will surely enjoy it, if the humor dosn't end up irritating you or scaring you away. Cheers!

*Spoiler free*
I have to point something out at the beginning, so that there are no misunderstandings - it's my 1st and probably only review. I decided to write it due to the fact, that the top reviews for this show not only aren't helpful but also they are bothersome (aka unhelpful).
The story, character - 9
I would give 10, but because of the structure of the show i felt a bit bored at the beginning due to the repetitive manner of 4-6 starting eps. I also had trouble with the fact that the story might somehow show resemblance to other works of the author of
...
Charlotte (Angel Beats was appearing at the back of my head at times). However (!), IMO, every show should be rated based solely on it's own qualities and coming from this - i can't give Charlotte's story and character less than 9.
The story might feel at start pretty usual, but i believe that if you at least try to buy into the whole plot, you will end up loving it. The reason is that the anime really starts showing it's strenghts after we're introduced properly into the story. I feel it might've been handled differently, so that i could give the show 10, but well - it's fine this way.
About character - the show gets 9 partially thanks to the development of main protagonist Otosaka Yuu who at start made me hate him and eventually made me like and respect him.
Art, sound - 8
I don't have much to say about this part, im not very much into rating anime for it's art, because i'm not good at understanding what's good and what's bad about animation. It looks nice, just like any other promising show from this decade - cometimes the use of CGI (i think?) was unnecesary, but heck - they have to put it to use to master it.
Sound was okay i suppose, there wasn't much to it - i think i remember a couple of scenes that had impact on me thanks to the sound, that's why i give it 8, however if you're watching anime for some new awesome music to fall in love with, this ain't the place for you in Charlotte's case.
Enjoyment, Overall - 9
At the start, after 2-3 episodes i gave this show 6 on my MAL profile, cause it seemed it did not have very much going for it.Sinking deeper and deeper into the show the score raised through 7 (around ep 6), 8(around ep 9) to 9 after watching final episode. I think it pretty much tells you that enjoyment will probably rise the more of the show you watch. Assuming you can but into the story and characters.
Well, if u took the time to read this dumb review you also have enough spare time to watch Charlotte, so get seated comfortably, buckle up for some great time in front of the screen and start watching!
