Black Lagoon possibly has the greatest dub cast and some of the most likeable characters in all of anime. If you're looking for an anime with plenty of guns and violence, whilst simultaneously being hilariously funny, Black Lagoon is perfect. There is no romance in the show if that is what you're into.
One of the greatest aspects of the show is the characters, Black Lagoon doesn't have any bad characters.
Rokuro "Rock" Okajima is a businessman from Tokyo who ends up joining a group of pirates/mercenaries called the "Lagoon Company" that smuggles goods (usually firearms) around South-east Asia (in the early 90s). The other members of

Lagoon Company are Revy, Dutch, and Benny. Revy is a badass gunslinger who makes most men quake in their boots. Dutch is the massive hardman and the leader of the group who makes the decisions. Finally, Benny is the brains of the group, operating all the technology they use. All 4 of these characters are relatable for the most part.
Black Lagoon also arguably has the best female cast in all anime. Revy, Eda, Roberta, and Balalaika (the best one ) are all strong female personas in the story, usually seen with weapons at hand.
Although, the show is mostly filled with action, there are some episodes that dig deep into the history of certain characters, these episodes are heart wrenching at times and allow us to relate to the characters even more.
All in all, Black Lagoon is a hilarious, fast-paced, action filled anime with little to be desired after the finale. 9/10
