I just had to air my grievances because I loved this show SO much that I binged it and by the end, I was going through the 6 stages of grief trying to understand how it could end the way it did.
For the first 23 episodes, I would give it a 10/10. After that, including the OVA, it spiraled WAY out of control and I was skipping ahead just to get the idea because I didn't want to sit through the plot anymore. If you stop at episode 23, it'll be a great series with the bad end it deserved, things will make relative

Anime as a genre has a real problem with sexualizing children, I think anyone reading this agrees with me on that. I don't like and am definitely not comfortable with Ko being 14. Way too young. But like most anime, the character's age never reflects what they look like/their environments/their classmates/etc.
Ko's classmate that we met so far, as well as his demeanor, in my opinion often makes me forget he is not 16/17 years old. His classmate appears much older than she is, he has a strong emotional maturity despite being inexperienced in major life experiences, and he does not behave or act like ...

My problem with the show is that in some areas it completely exceeded my expectations, which made the parts where it didn't stand out that much more. This show isn't Deathnote or AOT where you can't guess what's next even if you try- but it's not trying to be.
This show reminded me of how I felt watching Hyouka, where I was invested in the plot as much as I was in the characters themselves, which can come with some good and bad. Just as Hyouka left me wanting more, I was happy and invested in the characters by the end, which is exactly what ... |
