Tensei shitara Slime Datta Ken
|
Similarities: > Both are Isekai series (characters are sent to another world). > Both main characters are overpowered and deal with "difficult" situations with relative ease. > Both are set in fantasy worlds (swords, magic, monsters etc.). > Both have a very laid-back "fluffy" feel. Story arcs are generally focused on making other peoples lives better. > Both have an English Dub. Differences: > Slime has a more developed story (opinion). > Isekai Smartphone has major Harem elements. > Slime's animation is better (opinion). > Slime is a 25 episode series, Isekai smartphone is 12 (also more likely that slime will get a second season). > Slime is loved and praised, Isekai smartphone is criticized.

Seishun Buta Yarou wa Bunny Girl Senpai no Yume wo Minai

Similarities: > Both are about supernatural happenings. > Both use multiple story arcs without much of an overarching story. > Both feature high-school students (obviously, it's an anime after all). Differences: > Bunny Girl Senpai has an ending (wasn't too conclusive in my opinion but whatever). > Sakuta is both the main character and the focus of the story in Bunny Girl Senpai. > Kyon is the main character but with Haruhi as the focus of the story in Haruhi Suzumiya. > Haruhi Suzumiya has more episodes. > Haruhi Suzumiya has a dub.

Nisekoi

As you watch the shows the similarities become blatantly apparent, and in a very good way. I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed both shows, however, in my opinion, Toradora is still better. If you are looking for a show to fill the empty void Toradora left in your soul then Nisekoi should do the job. Both shows have Tsundere Main characters. Both shows have beautiful art/animation styles. Both shows have great characters and chemistry between characters. Both shows have great dialogue. However, Toradora has a dub and Nisekoi does not. Toradora actually finishes its story and Nisekoi does not (you have to read the manga). Also, Nisekoi slightly focuses more on Comedy than Romance it isn't a bad thing, and although it's more into Comedy than Romance it's only very slightly, there are still more than enough romance elements in both shows for your entertainment.
