I made a review of this ero doujinshi in 2021 during my senior year of high school it has been deleted as I changed my opinion. This will contain spoilers. I apologize for the inconvenience but it was necessary for me to update this review due to my current viewpoint on this ero doujinshi.

doujin and how dark and twisted it is. I denied reading this ero doujin until my curiosity got the better of me and after reading it I was left feeling extremely upset. Why did I get so upset afterwards it was just a ero doujinshi but what if this story was supposed to delivery a bigger message to the audiences?
Metamorphosis as a story is depressing and too fucking twisted to the point that I felt sick while reading it. There were moments where I wanted to pause and say 'this is too deep and muddy' and that I should stop while I was still in the beginning of it. Yet I didn't because I thought maybe there would be a moment where our female protagonist (named Saki) would receive a helping hand, a guiding light to help take her away from the shit situation she's in. That guiding light never came to help Saki from the beginning to the end of this ero doujin. There is no happy ending for Saki and her end was written soiled. Society can be cruel and cold to the young and naive people who grow up in this world of savagery and deceptive people who seek to take advantage of the innocent. To bad parents, two-face friends, and sick grown adults deliberately wanting to use the innocent, Saki falls for their bait each time. She gets brutally raped by classmates, strangers, even her own father raped her then later she sold herself to prostitution and let her pimp hook her on drugs. She is raped repeatedly later on by countless of sick men and homeless men who sees her less than human. Saki often traded sex and her body for drugs so she can chase that feeling of delusional happiness. I can't wholeheartedly believe if Saki is made to be this incredibly naive to the point she doesn't think to suspect or decline strangers of their predatory requests. Saki is 15 but I can't say she represents 15 year old teenagers who behaves the way Saki does unless they have been extremely sheltered by their family or parents. Teenagers looking to escape from being the 'golden' child of the family to find something meaningful in their lives. However the gruesome world we live in can't be escaped through any means of wasting our lives away in hiding, indulging ourselves in unhealthy ways or abandoning it. An open to definition solution is to shape our own life and make sense of the world as we see fit, by taking control of our life and making it our own story. Of course that doesn't always apply to everyone and can't always be the solution to everyone's problems. Our protagonist Saki, unfortunately gets the short end of the sticks to having a decent life. It is brutal to witness our protagonist go through such sadistic horrible situations that only gets worse down the road and further into this ero doujin.
Saki is the environmental product of the result. Her story is meant to be a black eye-opening call. Yet Metamorphosis falls flat to execute the greater lesson on society and its people. It fails to shine a glaring light on this very real difficult matter because its catered to audiences as a pornographic manga. Which means not everyone will take this story seriously because its plastered as that. Shindo L writes Saki and the environment she's put in is terrible, he really thought 'lets depict a 15 year old girl getting raped by sick men with no positive outcome' for 7 chapters straight could convey a serious meaning to a demoralization story that can happen to anyone in real life felt more like a vile fetish than a giant red flag.
To quote another user jirotachi who also wrote a review on this ero doujinshi "I mean, unless you are a sick fuck, there's really nothing about this manga that is stimulating or hot or sexy. Here's what this manga is: seven chapters about a 15 year old girl being repeatedly raped and abused."
My ratings:
Story: I gave Metamorphosis a 0 out of 10 because it horribly tried to sell itself as a harsh eye-opening truth to a hidden world society and its people choose not to pay attention to or ignore completely. In my opinion I dislike the way Shindo L wrote this story because 7 chapters of a teenage girl getting brutally raped and abused is not justifiable. It really isn't and it doesn't magically convinces people that this is okay in the real world.
Art: Upon discovering Shindo L's art-style and other ero doujinshis he has done in my opinion, I find it captivating. He has a unique way of capturing the euphoric feeling of sex and its many pleasures.
Character development of Saki: There is no score below zero. Saki has no distinctive character or development. She is like a glass window, easily stained hard to remove and easily broken to shards. She has no control of her life until the very end where she ironically kills herself to find happiness because she's been fucked over countless of time by sick men.
To quote jirotachi again because his statement perfectly sums up the character of Saki so well. "Then finally there's the ending where she just... dies. Fantastic then, we have Life sucks and then you die: The Porn Manga. What else is it even trying to say here? Talk about "the weight of bad decisions in your life"? Bzzzzzt! Saki barely even gets to decide anything on her own, because she is abused by EVERY SINGLE PERSON she meets!"
My enjoyment: A 1 for dreadful. At the end of Metamorphosis I am left with thoughts and emptiness. Not sadness or hatred, just thoughts and emptiness. Its a mess of emotions and it questions your morality the entire time. Could this be one of many situations that happens in real life to ANYONE, yes. Could this be prevented? Yes. Will society continue to ignore the helpless innocent people who are taken advantaged by sick people? Yes.
My final score: A 1 out of 10. Don't come after me for this :)

If you like shows like Brooklyn 99 where it's in a serious setting but the comedy is silly, this will be your kind of anime. The Way of The Househusband is as Netflix described it to be, quirky and absurd with a dash of deadpan humour. Something I particularly find enjoyment and entertainment in.
The art-style is unique, I would say it reminds me of Pop Team Epic with they way this anime is animated. If you have seen Food Wars then you'll likely be reminded of the splashes of colourful scenes similar to the ones in Food Wars with the great choices of ...
