SOOOOOOO SOOOOO SOOOOOO CUTE, by the time I got to ep 12 I literally couldn't stop smiling. I paused like 2 whole times from cuteness overload. This is exactly how I feel like a romance involving me and my ideal type would have played out if I didn't go to an all-girls school.
I don't know why it took me so long to finish, like I actually enjoyed it but I guess by the middle it started feeling kinda repetitive. I liked the cute side stories a lot and all the characters even the random side ones are all so likeable (extremally unrealistic lol). Literally
...
so cute and if I had watched this in my peak romance anime phase I definitely would've given this a 10. But now I'm grown and boring lmao.
I think its interesting how they didn't end the season finale at the fireworks show. Cause by then i was already cheesing SOOOOOO hard lmao, but still a nice ending like carrying on the story so they can basically start s2 like as the EXACT SAME THING as s1 lol. If they ended at the fireworks scene I feel like that would have to make s2 start off with heat and their relationship would probs had to progress at a faster speed. I think shirogane thinking everything he said was cringe and max embarrassment was sooo adorable and realistic, but when i was watching the scene I thought it was so cute and badass of him. I liked how we saw the scene through shinomiya's "rose-tinted" glasses, or shirogane was actually cool and just has L self-confidence. Either way I liked it a lot.

I want a young pre-teen love :(((((( This movie depressed me but 10/10 would recommend. I liked the cute names and the slow animation style. I have been procrastinating studying and I have a test tomorrow but this movie was worth it.
Wishing I didn't let my anxiety stop me from experiencing life like this. I liked the message about self-confidence, and I really liked the ending.
Spoilers ignore this part if you haven't seen the movie yet:
I usually get really annoyed when a character does something stupendously clumsy but when smile broke the record, I was less annoyed just more sad for her and the
...
grandpa. I'm happy they were able to listen to the record in the end but I wonder why I didn't get as mad as I would in person and if another character from a different movie/series did that. Probably good character building :p

Before i watched this movie, I watched a review which said the movie actually depicted the story of taku and yutaka and taku’s unrequited love for him. In the beginning of the movie i was like “omg ya, literally he’s in love with him” and the more i watched the more i felt like ya he is totally not interested in rikaku. I felt like that all the way up until the infamous slap scene.
firstly good on him on slapping her back and wow!!! the tension of that one scene alone was able to get my attention back for the whole movie. maybe i
...
mistake passion for love but since that scene i was like, “ya no rikaku is in love with him”. I’m not sure why taku went down to speak to her after she said those cruel words to yutaka, that kinda confirmed the gay unrequited love theory and honestly maybe (definitely) that would’ve been more interesting but i don’t hate this story. I still don’t understand why yutaka punched taku like what? you punched him (and the ghousted him) cause he was holding back lmfao whatever. I think he did the right think and rikaku literally handles herself like the bad bitch she is. music was aight, artstyle was sexy and classic and i felt entertained.
extra* rikaku’s character lol. at the beginning i hated her cause it felt like she was using taku, then i liked her a lot and she seemed semi-sweet then she got boring at the end. like when they met at the **SPOILER** end at the train station it was like okay do something now, kiss him don’t just stand there and smile, what happened to all your fire??? ya but that was just my added note

One of studio Ghibli’s more underrated movies 4 sure!!!!
I really liked all the characters (king was a bit sus tho) and the movie made me so happy. This is definitely a movie to watch to get you into a good mood. also Haru is so kind hearted wtffffff. This is a good movie to watch if you like kiki’s delivery service
Now for the spoilers (only read onward if you’ve seen the movie):
I liked how everything in the movie linked, like with the kitten in the beginning to haru’s friends broken stick (sorry I don’t know what it’s actually called). i’m not even mad
...
at haru for sampling over a cat lmao. Barron was so fine but he only got fine once he was “human sized” and dancing with haru. Before that he was just a cool cat. I live for moo-ta ;) and I really like how he warmed up to haru. I’m a cat person and this movie was just like a omen and makes me wanna get a fat white cat. I liked how at the end of the movie haru ‘confesses’ to barron and he just flew of the building and toto caught him that was cool. Also when haru’s friends tells her the dude she likes is single I liked how she was like “oh okay” and didn’t even really care about it anymore. The end song was so good and this movie ranks pretty high (mid kind of ) in my Studio G tier list

WARNING THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS BUT I DO WARN YOU BEFORE SAYING THEM:
I watched the international version on netflix as 1 hour long movie and not as 3 separate episodes and...
I had no idea what to expect but show definitely shook my expectations but in a really good way. The first story was interesting and not gonna lie I was a bit worried that I had just signed myself up to watch an hour long movie about noodles, but even though I couldn’t relate so much to the family traditions and the protagonists memory of noodles I still felt somewhat entertained and I felt for
...
him when *SPOILER* his grandma died. I felt so bad and I found it interesting how they decided to end the “episode” there.
Fade to black screen, beginning of story 2 (this movie/show had soooo many black screens oh my gooodness)
This story hit a little closer the home, although i have never experienced having a parent pass away and I do not have any younger siblings I really connected with Yi Lin’s feeling as if all she has to offer is her body. Modelling can be such a toxic industry and seeing her struggle to grapple with her ageing honestly mad me very sad. I love LuLu and her personality, timid characters always make me feel happy and having steve really made me happy as unconventional family’s really are a thing and they can be just as strong as ‘normal’ family dynamics. I loved the ending and this was one of my favourite stories out of the three.
Another black screen (this is like out 5th one lol) and here we begin our 3rd and finally story.
I liked but it made me start to wonder. Are people this connected to past loves in real life as they are in animes. Is this asian culture? I know that as a South Africa who has never had any long term friends from under the age of 14 or any family friends of the opposite gender who I’ve know forever I might not understand so much. Just I have had experience with past crushes where we had stopped talking and I just forget them from my life. Yes a thought of them may pop up from time to time but I meet other people along the way and in the back of my mind I know they’ve moved on aswell. even with friends who I have stopped talking to. It’s almost as like their life just carries on from there. Xiao Yu moved to a whole new school and he never met anyone new? I know it’s anime and it can not always realistically relay real life but come on! this trope is becoming boring and maybe it’s because I don’t understand the sentiments of it but I feel the happy ending we were given at the end was wasted and I would of preferred if we could just see Xiao Yu’s life carry on as normal.
Now enough about the plot let’s talk about the concept:
A story about chinese culture written in a japanese anime :p I liked it and I found it very interesting. I liked learning about those noodles and seeing how life in a small town in china might be like. It was also interesting seeing Beijing being depicted as the City for these characters. I liked seeing how the modelling industry kind of looks like in beijing and the family dynamics of two orphaned girls. I also really liked how story 3 shows all the options for someone living in a small town and how even a decision made in middle school affects them and their social life and their family dynamic. It’s interesting seeing a child just walk back home in a small town and be so independent something I have never really seen or experienced. The whole show showing how youth affect these people growing up and how certain memories and things just stay with you forever was really cool.
the art was nice, I didn’t really notice it until one scene in story 2 which was animated a bit too realistically for me lol and the sound also I didn’t notice it much besides the end outro song. The japanese voice acting was nice and the movie was overall enjoyable :)

Ive watched 9/12 episodes and ya Kanna is a cute lolli and the story is kind of cute to see play out, but the stuff happening with lucoa and shouta is too weird for me and they draw kanna too thicc for a kindergartener and her relationship with that big forehead girl,Saikawa, is like ewww they’re 5. The only character relationship I think is normal is Fafnir and Takiya. Tohru is also cool but alone.
If you like shows with lots of fanservice, lesbian love, dragons but that aren’t very important to the plot and slice of life this anime is for you I guess...

I don’t know how it’s possible but netflix somehow ruined a show I really liked.
the animation felt so different. The episodes felt rushed and the characters felt not as likeable. I was very excited when I saw netflix was doing a remake but they made the show feel less like a comedy and i don’t know tried to make it a slice of life somewhat. This actually could’ve worked as i was already very attached to the characters from the previous show but the short season with 3 new characters felt rushed.
I’m not sure if the animators are different or netflix isn’t sticking to the
...
manga but the show feels different and not in a enjoyable way.

The intro is very good and the premise of the show is interesting.
A school full of compulsive gamblers were your ability can determine your rank in the school. That sounds cool but i felt underwhelmed. Maybe it’s because of the fandom but when I watched kakeguri it was okay but I went online and all anyone could talk about how it was good. This was more on people’s obsession with the characters rather than the actual plot and storyline. Without the fandom I would rate this anime a 7 but they had just affected my experience of the show too much. The main character (Yumeko
...
Jabami) was one of my favourite parts of the show but her “sidekick” is very much forgertable, i wish they had made more of him. I liked how the gambles kept changing and how cheating and psychology were all part of the show. I didn’t find myself excited for the next episodes tho because the episodes usually finish with a resolve. I have forgotten quite a bit about the show but the characters were interesting.

One of the first anime i’ve watched so my opinions might be fogged with nostalgia goggles. (why i rated 8 overall lol)
THE INTRO!!! when i hear the opm s1 intro I automatically get hyped, i don’t even listen to heavy metal-esque music but i can appreciate this intro. The art style is so unique and when I see the way the animation moves (especially during the fight scenes) i just really get excited.
The characters!!! I love, especially when the premise of the show’s superheroes is surrounded around development to become a better ranked hero and we are given a main character who does is
...
just so....
most shows center around the development of 1 character and the characters around them helping them to improve. this one is not like that and it is extremely refreshing.
This is a show you want to binge. I like the idea of the superhero association and the ranking of the heroes it adds another layer to the show which was fun.
I also really love all the bad guys. they all had some personality and weren’t all just copies of one another.
Would highly recommend and is definitely a staple anime for any anime lover

My enjoyment watching this show peeked and dipped. it’s a very interesting underdog story and I’d say this anime is great for any beginner.
some of the tropes can be very predictable but they did not take away from any of my enjoyment of the show. There are a lot of characters and is one of the pluses of the show. I definitely recommend this anime for any new anime watchers and i think they would very much enjoy this story.
Beware of the fandom, there are many nice people on it but some of the fan art and ships are very explicit and nsfw.
Not the greatest
...
anime ever made but very enjoyable.
