[SOME SPOILERS]
This review was written like 7 months after I finished the anime so I don't remember everything clearly
I love the way TMS adapted this anime. It is more heavy on the detail and faithfulness to the manga than focusing less on the manga and more on the fluidity of the animation.
The story is fairly simple, It starts off as a normal school day then all of a sudden a massive green wave wipes over the earth and turns everybody to stone. The main character is Senku Ishigami, he is the first person we know of to break out of the stone
...
shell, afterwards he revives his friend Taiju, Eventually they get stuck and are being chased by lions, tigers I don't remember. Since they know they can't beat the tigers themselves they revive Tsukasa. Tsukasa is basically a caveman in present day, he can take out the tigers. Senku wishes to revive everyone on earth, Tsukasa has different ideals. Senku escapes and finds a village. In this village he meets others (this may seem like a plothole but to avoid spoilers I won't go into detail) In this village we meet the main cast of the show. And Tsukasa is building up an army (also seems like a plothole) and sends them to scout out Senku, they eventually find him. This sparks a war between Senku and the village against Tsukasa and his army.
I love the way they casted the show, the cast makes you feel immersed and they really fit the characters which compliments the quirky and unique personality of the characters. The way the art in this show looks really makes big moments feel even more like a triumph with how detailed and true to the manga it is. You can take so many frames from this show that look exactly like the manga.
The way that Dr. Stone teaches you about science really compliments the overall show even more, once you learn something you will get a pretty nice sense of self satisfaction which overall makes the show more enjoyable.
In my opinion Dr. Stone is one of the best anime to come out in the past 5 years, I also think it will go down in history as one of the best anime when it comes to engaging the viewer and making them excited for next episode without fail. Can't wait for Stone Wars!
P.S
This is my first review so I don't really know how to structure them and put the categories in a nice order. Anyways, hope I convinced you to watch the show or even re-watch it.
bye
