For a anthology, the series is surprisingly cohesive. There always seems to be and underlying theme of people being put into situations where looks are deceiving. Even the reader's expectations are played with multiple times. It's a lot more subdued than MADK which makes it more approachable. By the name you already know what you are getting into, if you like monster partners or your fav disney movie is Beauty and the Beast then you will feel right at home.
The art is always hit and miss for me. On some panels its breathtaking with some incredibly imaginative creatures that make you question reality. On
