Finally something's happening in this series again!
The last seasons after the first one were kind of a let down, but in this season stuff started to happen. Of course it wasn't perfect and there were a couple of things that annoyed me like some of the sidestories took unnecessary detours like they have a habit of taking.
What I didn't realize missing was the good heartfelt drama! Now there finally is progression with character arcs and A CHANGE that I'm interested in is finally happening.
Mixed feelings since I wouldn't recommend the last two seasons but they are needed to understand this one. They

No idea what I just watched but I think I liked it!
Once in a blue moon the Crunchyroll site recommends something I haven't already seen. The episodes were short, something like 3 minutes but they managed to fit in just enough things in one episode to feel like I was watching something that was progressing. Even tho the point of this show is definitely not to present a linear (or even coherent) storyline. I like how the characters are written, but I didn't like how they were designed. The art style is shit. And the whole production quality is quite low so visually nothing ... Apr 25, 2024

Halfway in, and so far it's easily one of the best series of the season.
It's like the writer found everything that's trending and mushed it all together, AND SUCCEEDED! The writing is brilliant, I don't find myself missing anything from the story or the character development. The story progresses nicely, while giving the best of cooking sequences in the middle of it all. And most refreshing thing of them all: Everything makes sense! Every motive for every character is explained and it all makes sense. The world also! I saw some reviews complaining that Marcille is annoying but imo if every other character is weird ... This has so much potential but it blows it.
I imagine if I was a teenager watching this I'd be over the moon by the character and world designs, which are kinda cool but corny as hell. And so is the writing. The story is easy and straightforward which is good, but there are no sequences where things would get explained. I had no time to get invested in the characters or in the world, which is a shame since the world seems really interesting. There were short sequences where they explained some of the world but then they threw another twist in the mix ... Apr 13, 2024
This show reminded me of the shows I watched when I was a teenager. Somehow I felt really nostalgic about this. Saw myself in my old room watching this and eating snacks and forgetting the anxiousness of life.
The story is decent and the writing is solid. It feels like the writers know what the story needs to do and where it is supposed to go. It does have some slower parts but even then I never felt bored. The animation is amazing. The fighting scenes are well choreographed and the visual effects are stunning. At first I was a bit wary of the character ... Mar 31, 2024

Stupid story, stupid characters, stupid tits, stupid everything.
Obviously the only ''appeal'' of this show is that it's R-rated and you can see dem tiddies. I see no other reason to want to watch this show. But, since the art style and the animation are so horrible you only feel disappointed and betrayed. Not worth it. The boobs suck, the story and the characters suck. Don't bother. Every single one of the characters are so fucking dumb!? Why? What drives one to write and create such a dull set of characters? The MC is easily one of the most useless characters in a while. In ... Aah shit I don't know.
The second season was a huge let down after the intriguing first season. This, I can't make my mind. First thing, it is better than the second season imo. Secondly, It's still a bit trash. I really want to like it more but it is not that great. The whole show feels like a complete waste of a premise. The premise is a gemstone. The execution is a pebble stuck to my really nice boots. It might be because of the visual setting but it also feels super repetitive. It's becoming increasingly difficult to differentiate between different 'arcs'. Ayanokoji would still ... Feb 28, 2024
I have to say I'm a bit disappointed.
I remember the first season so well and how it was one of the best things back then, and now these later seasons haven't been able to catch up. I cant' explain it too well but somehow this season feels like it should be in the middle of a bigger season. The writing and the plot twists feel refreshing since something is actually happening but something is still missing. And I can't put my finger on it. I think I might miss the overall vibe of the school dormitory life mixed with the big and grand plot ... Feb 24, 2024
The first impressions were not too good, it felt like a basic trash isekai with a twist. But, I have to say it did turn out okay.
The story is nothing unseen before and the plot twists are kinda predictable. Still, what it does it does okay. BUT What amuses me the most is that it's comically clear where they have put the effort in the animation. The cooking scenes are god-tier! Everything else is mid to trash. It's funny to see a bit clumsy and akwardly animated fight scene and right after it perfectly crafted cooking scene with every bit of care you'd need. The ... Jan 1, 2024

I am loving this so far. I feel like how it's promoted and how it looks doesn't give you the proper picture for what you are in for. I was absolutely ready to hate this but then I realized it wasn't a cheesy romance which is about beautiful characters being beautiful and saying corny shit and doing corny stuff. To be fair, I did not look into this that much so I'm basing this only on pure aesthetics and visuals and what Crunchyroll wanted it to look like. And we all know how well crunchyroll does it's job.
The story is well written and it ... |
