This is my kind of romantic comedy. The supernatural element is a perfect ingredient to push the storytelling wheel in motion. How does a mortal take on a godly responsibility? That was one hook that kept me wanting to see the show.
The dynamic dialogue/relationship between Nanami & Tomoe keeps the story lighthearted and it makes me want to see til the end expecting a happily ever after between them - that's a formula you need for any romantic comedy kind of story.
The sound is incredible. Every effect increases the comedic storytelling impact plus the punch lines were on point - you will always get tickled

This is one of the greatest show I've watched. It's a timeless piece of art. The characters are relatable. I enjoyed watching it because of the unique antagonist (Light Yagami) perspective the show is presented. It took two or more heroes to take down the villain, that is something. L and Light are like the yin and yang.
In all of the episodes I kept rooting for the hero and at the same time sympathize with Light. His god complex was triggered by the shinigami's notebook & I couldn't blame him for that. This show wouldn't be great if it wasn't adapted into TV format to ... Dec 12, 2019

The show reminds me of Batman: The Killing Joke. It's one of those stories where the villain wins or gets what he wants, in this case it caused him his life. The show reminds me that some people are willing to take extreme measures just to be satisfied. For us, this kind of truth has a little gap from reality. We were taught to hold our lives with utmost importance. This story may not get others approval because of how the antagonist went to such great lengths to win.
What I also like about it is both the hero and villain are alike in many ways. ... |
