RahXephon

Both series share the same mold and have inspirations rooted deep into the old times. RahXephon's main inspirations are the old school mecha anime Yuusha Raideen and certain elements from Gundam and Neon Genesis Evangelion. Despite the shared traits with Evangelion being solely surface level, the show's sure to be enjoyable to any NGE fan who appreciated it's cinematography and focus on characterization. Both shows feature a reluctant hero as the protagonist, but Ayato grows a lot more into the ''hero'' part than Shinji ever does. Both study the psychology of their main cast but that's where they diverge. Evangelion focuses on exploring the characters' mentality while RahXephon takes a more emotional approach, focusing on the characters' feelings instead. It's also much more romance driven than Evangelion is.

SKET Dance
add

Gintama and SKET Dance's structure is extremely similar, that may be due to the fact that SKET Dance's mangaka was Sorachi's (Gintama's mangaka) assistant for a while. Both of them involve a main cast of 3, the leader that's usually lazy but when it comes to it he's the most responsible one. (Gintoki and Bossun) The girl that's the power house of their group (Kagura and Himeko) and the smart otaku. (Shinpachi and Switch). The overall structure of the show is similar, it's mainly comedy but there are those serious dramatic arcs that develop the plot and characters more. (SKET Dance's manga is the main source of it's dramatic arcs, the anime replaced 1 or 2 of the dramatic arcs with it's own comedy arc based on the arc it replaces). Both help people who request help from them except one does it voluntarily to push positivity (SKET Dance) and the others do it as a job. (Gintama) One is a high school club and the other is a poor business.
