Firstly, I would like to point out that most of the reviews on here are all negative and it's understandable. Secondly, I apologize beforehand if you find any spelling mistakes or wrong names. I'm very bad at remembering names..
Yes the first season was better but the second season had some strong moments too.
STORY:
Well the story itself at first is a little jumpy, we don't see it truly come to light until episode 6. The main focus is development of Rikka's and Yuuta's love life and the Chunnibyou syndrome. For one I actually got emotional in the last few episodes because I felt that "Yes
...
I want more, but it feels so pure" You wanted more lovey-dovey stuff? Go watch something else because this is demonstrating-for me- pure highschool love. And even the characters themselves hint at this, such as the dirty jokes between Nibutani and Dekomodi about "higher contract" etc. As for other plots in the anime, It was quite humorous to watch and to be honest I was enjoying this thoroughly and marathoned it in less than 12 hours~
Yes, basically the story was mainly focused on developing, maybe slowly-true, the love life but it is sweet to see that "Yes they did truly choose each other" it was strengthening that Contract.
Now, one thing that bugged me constantly was the forced Love triangle.
Okay, bringing in a new character is fare and simple but I felt it was very forced. Let me explain in characters.
CHARACTERS:
I've always loved the characters in Chuunibyou they are all so cute and unique and the voice seiyuus match the characters perfectly. My favourite character is Dekomori and in this 2nd season I became even more in love with Rikka and Nibutani. Rikka is just adorable and you can't deny it, she really puts out her effort that she really does love Yuuta's and that strong connection is what makes her such a powerful female lead.
Nibutani always made me laugh in this season, her way of denying her Mori Summer and always trying to keep cool really brought a smile to my face Everytime.Dekomori was as cute and mischievous and rowdy as ever and I love that about her. Characters that are upbeat always hit top marks with me.
The other characters all have a role to play in the show, yes even Ishikki who is always forgotten~
But now, I want to talk about the new character.
The magician devil girl Sophia or her earthly name Shichimiya.
I did not like this character. For one, like I said before the love triangle with her cutting into Rikka and Yuuta's love life made me agonized Everytime she interfered.
She also did not feel like a very strong character. I could tell just by her laugh that she was lieing to herself.
But this is still very human as is all of this anime, it's what the essence of Chuunibyou is-"Escaping Reality".
And yes she did want just that as did any other of the 8th grade syndrome characters. So yes I hated her but I understand her.
ANIMATION & SOUND:
Well, after getting so caught up in the story and characters I usually never care for whether the music or animation is top notch. I'm usually someone who watches the ending and openings once then just skips them so it's very hard for me to critique this. But the animation was beautiful especially the action scenes I always felt like I was immersed into them-I could picture it actually happening~
Some flaws would be those close camera shot pans with the faces it looked..a little odd at times- but it's hard for them to get everything right. They work so hard for us fans anyways.
As for the sound the opening song was really good and I enjoyed it more than the ending one. However, I can't really be a judge of sound as i never pay it mind much.
ENJOYMENT:
Okay, Lastly I definetely enjoyed this. I'm sorry if you don't like his anime and see it for it's good merits. I laughed, I cried, I sat on the edge of my seat and felt anger, jelousy and annoyance while watching. These emotions are all good reason why I feel that the sequel does deserve some respect and does prove to be a great anime~ The first season was better but I feel bias is unnecessary for this sequel.
Compared to other sequels such as Clannad:After Story and Little Busters:Refrain where you see the stronger developments instead- this is a sequel that seems to just highlight the after events and prove the love formed in the first season.
With that, I shall end my review. I hope this helps understand a little more of the good sides of this sequel~
Thanks for Reading

For my First Ever Review, I found it suitable to pick an anime that I found amazing.
My first impression of K-On! was originally not impressed or interested. I figured it would be a anime completely about music. I myself am not that into music, only knowing a few songs I have heard around.
When I finally figured that this would be interesting was when a friend recommended and I ended up watching it a few days after told so.
"What was so amazing about K-On! That I would give such a near perfect score, you may ask?"
Story:
Well for starters,
though there is not much of a plot
...
line, usually focusing on fun and lighthearted episodes, I found every episode satisfying. The genre "slice of life" is my favourite type of anime to watch; being that it provides a "flutter of the heart" and I become completely touched by the lightheartedness of the show. K-On! can be classified into slice of life being centering on the growth of the characters and their relationships with each other. I figure for story the best I can say is that they do, to a degree, improve in their music and their relationship as friends becomes as tight as a lid from a pickle jar(you know the saying when people cannot open pickle jars) As far as the disadvantages of the story is the lack of story and places where I was asking questions such as,"Will we see a Fulfillment of their dreams?"
A question nagging at me from the start since one of the characters(many who have seen the show already may know as Ritsu) makes an outright goal for the Club.
This dream(goal) does not seem possible atoll, and if you have read the manga as well, you may know for certain that it makes it even more impossible considering there is a lack of "spirit" for achieving it.
Though the Club does provide everyday notions in their fun activities. I was always enticed and envious of their daily activities, wishing that such a life was possible for myself (sighz right~)
Overall, the story of 4(+1 and others) friends is very appealing and could provide a shock for some viewers if they are thinking this may be an uninteresting show (indicate me*). With great energy and new and fun stories each time.
Art:
Moving to the art of the anime K-On!
The art is very very beautifully done, considering I am an artist myself, I always find shows that provide great artwork no matter the story I will usually watch it. (yep a bit shallow lol)
Not much to say when you love the art, just that they do an excellent job of facial expressions and though some may consider there to be not as much animation as you would see in an Action, all "slice of life" animes probably do have a lower number of scenes to animate.
But they do this superbly, though this may also depend overall on the quality of the video you are watching. ;)
Sound:
So on to the next,
Well for one by sound it's probably video sound quality and what not but I want to point out something about the Seiyuus(voice actors).
As for one the Seiyuus do an outstanding job with their characters. Characters provide us with extremely creative and cute onomatepias(sound effects) and are get into their lines smoothly.
Considering having to watch it in English Sub I found it very easy to follow the speed in which they talk. For video sound quality I am not an expert but yeah I should just say it was good, to the point :)
Characters:
Though I have already briefly noted this topic, I guess I should expand.
For one, all characters are instantly lovable and each has their own individualality.
All traits come together perfectly and the characters are superb on relationships.
One thing to note is the uniqueness and creativity one of the characters has.
Though singling out the other characters a bit, I consider this characters naming sense excellent, and though not my favorite character in the show she(referring to Yui) gives the best nickname ever(hint my username :P)
Though I cannot say much about problems with the characters, one would probably be the lack of a deeper character development. Consider, a character that improves mentally and physically. In K-On! characters improve on the surface and not really character improvement more like social, academical, ect. One character, Yui you could consider the only one to literally improve in the story, but I cannot expand on that. (Spoilers an all)
Characters in K-On are defiantly new and unique. Usually and most consistently you come across repetitive characters in different animes but I consider this different and defiently worthwhile.
Enjoyment:
Well, obviously, it was outta this world. I enjoyed every episode wholeheartedly and could not wait for the next episode. I could not stop watching the anime and probably finished in less than 24 hrs, common for very good animes or any considering if you have free time lol.
I do realize that usually you would consider you enjoy most of the animes you watch, but sometimes there are those few that you just have to struggle through the last few episodes so that you proved you watched this shit, or some decency and respect towards the creators.
K-On for me definitely does not fall into that category, far beyond it. I consider it superb even if my original impression of it was bad well you can't judge a book by its cover as they say.
Overall:
Though this may seem like a little shallow on my behalf considering if I made other reviews such as on the show Air(some may know) I would say the story is better in Air but overall I am all for watching mainly animes with great art. I always pose reluctance to watch anime with art I do not consider good and that is shallow. :/
So yes K-On! definitely deserves a perfect score for me but giving it a 9 would be more appropriate from my angle. In a position of doing my first review K-On met the standards or should I say exceeded and was fun to review.
Hope this went well for people out there as it did for me.
