Oct. 21, 2008 - small update.. though you most likely won't be able to tell.
Oct. 26, 2008 - got rid of something
Feb. 10, 2010 - lol I'm good at this. Figure out what I changed around here.
Awesome! The earlier episodes are my least favorite part of the series (not bad, just my least favorite) and pretty much everything gets better as it goes along - animation included.
It was the episode where Michel and Kiki visit the Zeon orphans in the jungle. It was nice to see everyone moving on, but the episode itself was such a weird change in pace from the rest of the series. Struck me as kind of unnecessary.
That's a shame. The first few episodes of Kare Kano have been extremely good. Guess I'll have to add another manga to my plan to read list. Are the manga and anime similar enough that I can start reading where the anime leaves off? That's my plan with Skip Beat.
8th MS Team was a really fun watch, only took me a couple of days to get through it. I like Shiro and Aina's relationship, even if it was a little too Romeo-and-Juliet-style for my tastes. My only complaints are that it wasn't quite as "realistic" as I was hoping (though far more so than the other Gundams I've seen), and the last episode was pretty bizarre. Totally came out of nowhere. Great set of characters, though.
Ah, yeah. I got to Sword of the Stranger. It felt like a regular samurai movie... I'd rather just watch a live action film. Some awesome animation, though.
8th MS Team is pretty fun, so far. Seems like a series I'm going to watch quickly.
Yeah, the fanbase is a little bit scary. It's been subbed for like a week, and there are already people willing to defend it to the death, even if you couch your criticism with the phrase "I liked it, but..."
I've been meaning to watch Sword of the Stranger as well. Looks pretty awesome.
Oh, that. Yeah, you're right, that was mostly boredom. The movie itself suddenly jumped to the number one rated anime on this site, so I decided to check it out. It didn't live up to the hype, sadly. It wasn't bad, though.
Hahah, I probably need to give bloodlust a rewatch (hence the blank rating at the moment). I remember being so angry at not being able to find the Japanese language track... by the time I was watching the movie, it was too late. I probably wouldn't have liked it no matter how good it was. That's what I get for watching anime the legal way, for once. >.>
Yeah, this season is unusually great. Maybe too great. I'm watching so many that it's getting hard to keep up.
Oh, I forgot that 8th MS team was on your favorites list. I'm even more excited now - always up for a good tactical show. I was planning on watching the original Gundam series before getting to it, but it's proving tough to find a subtitled version, so I'm going to skip to 8th MS Team. I'd also like to pick up Wing, since it was one of the first anime I watched (though I never had the chance to get very far).
And hey cool, our compatibility is no longer Very-Low, or whatever it was. Probably because I removed my unfair rating of Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust... I bought the DVD, there was no Japanese track on it, and the dub was awful. Gave it a 3/10 in a fit of rage. :-P
(Reading this page reminds me that I still haven't started Skip Beat. I even downloaded the first couple of volumes. >.< At least I have plenty of free time this weekend to work on my backlog of stuff to read/watch)

Have fun with Berserk, but be prepared to read the manga afterward. It sort of cuts off in an odd place.

Lol. Just had to, the first time I saw it.
Hi Xenofan! ;)
