The music is fine but gets repetitive and overused, especially in the latter half.
The art style is very formulaic in the sense that no specific scene will stand out or stick with you visually.
The character growth is the only plus because it's satisfying to watch some of them grow even if it's very predictable.
In all honesty, it's ok. The only thing really holding this anime back is the pacing and the fluff. There are a couple of episodes where it just feels unnecessary to the overall plot and a couple of times where a specific scene or scenario is slowed down to show

One of the slowest animes I have ever had the displeasures of watching. I sat through what can only be described as 3 full episodes of fluff before I started skipping through it just to see the highlights or get to the point.
The battle "music" is equivalent to a high pitched version of the Jaws sound, and doesnt really do much for the viewer. If anything it kinda made me want to watch the battles on mute. There was no suspense to the battles and the sounds during the battle scenes were quite dull. My biggest issues are that the characters are dull and ... Sep 7, 2020
It seems very drawn out and there seems to be no reason for this to exist but that's fine. What isn't fine is the pacing of each episode. it's almost repetitive and seems drawn out to meet a time limit. there is a lot of tell and not enough show.
The majority of charachter interactions are= Hero tries to save A, Department tries to "control" A, and Government wants to either kill or use A. The lack of a moral delima is quite telling. It seems to be quite cut and dry. The MC is the hero and everyone in his way is a bad ... Sep 7, 2020
A really good emotional mafia anime. Or as close as it can get.
The plot is very good and historically accurate as an anime can about prohibition can get. Almost all characters have a clear motive and a fairly well developed character. The music and sound have a purpose instead of being an addition to the anime. The intro and ending soundtrack is used to emotionally manipulate the viewer at the end of the anime and even gives hints as to what's to come. However its not used until the very end. There are times where you can see some animation "glitches". Like in some places the ... Aug 20, 2020
Very good show that ties together several different tropes together. Mecha, kaiju, aliens, magic girls, ghosts, etc. These things are so well blended in the world of this anime that it kinda makes sense. However, because it fits in so well that means that the politics of the world are also included. So if you don't like politics or just don't really care for them it may hinder your enjoyment.
Now for the story itself. It is hard to keep up some times because of the amount of flash-forwards and backward. It is kinda like Memento in that sense, but it's used in a way ... Aug 14, 2020

This anime kinda fails to make you feel for the characters because they give the reason to care too late into the series. There is no driving point behind the plot other than rounding up illegal goods and by doing so getting caught up in past conflicts. It's a good anime to turn your brain off to and watch the few action scenes.
There is at least one action scene per episode but they arent as flashy or cool as I wished they would be. Most of them end really quickly, so if you want to watch this because it seemed like a good action anime ... Jun 5, 2020
Great isekai anime. The actions the MC takes feels somewhat like what someone would do to max out a character. It is a short anime with 12 seasons and thus has very little filler. There is some fanservice but very little of it and the world of the gods is somewhat fleshed out. I feel that most of the characters are relatable in a way and a lot of this show is centered around that reliability.
The comedy in this is great if you like the over the top kind, and it fulfills that power fantasy that most people want when they look at the ... Jun 4, 2020

Great anime and very touching. There are a few characters that you really feel for and makes it a lot more realistic. Although the anime has psychics it really isn't a show about psychics using their powers. It's quite enjoyable and even the happy ending have a touch of realism to them making them a bit more bittersweet. I thoroughly enjoyed the anime however there are parts that did feel like fillers, but they were short and only took up a few minutes of the anime.
My biggest criticism is that it took quite a while for the anime to introduce characters that were seen ... May 29, 2020
I really enjoyed the storytelling of the story. With the story using two main characters each with their own purpose and style of telling the overall story. One is the conscience and provides the moral of the story while the other provides the action and sense of relief. So when the characters swapped their styles it was enthralling and exciting.
The story itself is great. it provides a mystery to keep you entertained while subverting your expectations. It's simple but complex enough to make it entertaining. For an anime about a blind guy, the art is pretty good. Even when we see through his perspective its ... May 29, 2020

I heard that these animated series were by Junji Ito and I expected there to be something to creep me out or scare me but after the first episode, it was all downhill. There really was nothing of interest and every single story seemed to be scattered in their storytelling. I didn't expect much but somehow it was still below my expectation. I am a big wimp with horror or any sort of suspense and I was bored the entire time. I got 7 episodes in and really got tired of it.
The majority of this experience was a letdown but there were a couple ... |
