This anime is for a philosophical group, it judges morality and responsibilities.
If you were to look at today's politics, you would easily see where the main character is coming from. A great anime, that tells us on how politicians and leaders should act. From ep 1 where the leader steps down to ep 8, where the king takes responsibility for the lack of preparation. We can really see where the anime is coming from and what it's trying to portray. A leader is supposed to help and protect his subordinates, a moralistic ideology lost in modern times.

All I can say is that it has a unique point of view.
It makes you wonder what else this world has in store for you. Anime has ups and downs and no anime is perfect, but mistakes are what help it improve. This is why you should try all types of anime to help broaden your horizon (And this is no exception). Stop being closed-minded and witness art that has never been shown before, as art cannot be defined by mere words, but by a fragile feeling that transcends emotions and intellect.
