Kind of dark story in somehow dystopic and emotionally heavy world. Group of kids trying to change how the world politics work. Great plot twists.

William's and Makishima's character design are almost the same (well, no wonder when it comes out of the same studio) and they're both as excellent anti-heroes that you just can't help but cheer for them. Both series are about crimes and injustice and (later on) psychological wars between two main rivals. Both anime are enjoyable as hell

Main happy-go-lucky character gets in absolutely different world all of sudden, troubled world on top of that. MC makes few friends (rebels) in the different place and wants/is forced to help them solve their world's problems. Also both MC have special and unique weapon. Similar vibe.

Judging by the first episode, the whole first episodes were soo similar to each other. In both anime there is a girl (looking like a guy and actually mistaken for one) involved with blondie boy working as host. The girl makes some things broken there and is forced to pay for it yet it's so much that she has to pay for it by joining them. Also the characters are really similar. Even by the appearance. Both comedy. Similar vibes.

Nagi no Asu kara

Let's see. There's group of five childhood friends in both anime. Every one of them has very special personality, and you could say the group is psychically almost identical. (I mean, Satoru/Hikari, Saki/Manaka, Maria/Chisaki, Shun/Kaname), There's plot about a fantasy place where they live (utopian village/sea). The second main part of the plot is feelings because both series play with the relationships between the friends and their feelings for each other. (I guess you could call it "love quadrangle"?) The feeling you get from watching these anime is very similar. The animation in both is really beautiful, as are the soundtracks. The differences could be in the seriousness of these two series. Shinsekai Yori is a lot darker and more depressing (generically horror), while Nagi no Asukara is a bit more slice-of-life. This doesn't mean NnA doesn't have any drama and can't make you sad though!

I've been searching for something similar to Hana no Mizo Shiru for really long time. And finally I found it~, though there's one really sad fact - two colors is unfinished. It just makes you fall in love with that and then it suddenly ends. Anyways, the overall feeling of this two mangas is almost the same; there's a very sweet lovestory, when the characters meet and slowly keep falling for the other one. And in both mangas one of the character catches a cold. (seems trivial but it's a part of the plot.) Also, Tsujiya really reminds me of Arikawa. Okay, it's just too cute for words, you should just go and read it right now~ ^^

The art is great and cute in both anime. Though the main reason of thinking that these series are similar, is that there is some higher power, making the show supernatural and the lives of characters more difficult. In Hentai Ouji it's a "stony cat", that makes their wishes come true, and this anime is more comical and funny, while Kokoro Connect is more dramatic and "the phenomenon" is messing their lives up so bad. (Both are great shows worth watching, though Kokoro Connect is better, I think.)

There's really similar feeling. The MC is somehow weak boy, who's protected by others (due to joining some organization) and wanted by the enemies. There are also some monsters and kawaii animals in both series. And of course - signs of shounen ai (yup, just a signs).
