As an avid lover of the web novel Quan Zhi Fa Shi (全职法师), mere words cannot express how disappointed I am with the animated ONA version. The only reason I am trying to enjoy the 3rd season is because I like the 1st and 2nd season that got me into the series and because i fell in love with the novel.
In the anime(ONA), everything from the animation, sound effect, music, plot pacing, and character interaction is of generic quality. It was like someone took a shit and tried to mold an anime out of it. What am i trying to say is the anime does
...
not do the masterpiece of a novel that is 全职法师 any justice. Although it is extreme analogy, the ONA did made what was an excellent source material into a less than mediocre anime. It seems low budget and lack of staff members is the source of the problem.
The web novel 全职法师, containing 2456 chapters, is an absolute masterpiece.
There are many things i love about 全职法师:
-very capable minded, savagely funny protagonist
-interesting fights and character interactions
-the world building
-magic system
-very detailed depiction of how political and full of scheme a society that revolves around power, money, and social status can be
-every story arc is interesting and meaningful. some even has unexpected plot twist
If there is one questionable thing i must say about the entire novel plot, it would be the beginning. The protagonist wakes up in the world in a world where magic and monster exist. The high school follows magic has its core curriculum. He was pretty much given a cheat ability of being born a double element mage and has a special spiral necklace, which helps him "level up" like a madman.
In this season, the protagonist moves to the city, famous for being one of the centers of the magic world. He continues to shows off, hiding his power until the last minute, increase his wealth and power. There are tournament arcs, new members of his tsundere harem. It was a pretty entertaining arc to read but again disappointing to watch because of the production quality, lack of pacing, and skipping of some funny moments.
As much as I don't want to be the ones that tell you "the manga (or in this case, the web novel) is better," the meme holds very true for this series.
The web novel doesn't actually get good until the beginning of this season (chapter 121 of the translated version called Versatile Mage), so I recommend you watch season 1 and 2 of the anime before reading the novel.
Unfortunately, the series is still being translated by an unknown author by the name of itsTofu from Gravity Tales translations. As of 11/13/2018, only 227 of the 2456 chapters has been translated. He translates 1 chapter per day. If you like the first 2 seasons of Quanzhi Fashi, I strongly urge you to read the novel and watch the anime only for fun.

There are times when I exhaust my list of entertainment. This is when i turn to crappy isekai to bore me to sleep, literally. As I sip on my glass of weak 5%-alcohol apple cider, I chuckle at the stupid ecchi and laugh at how generic each and every manga from this genre tends to be. Amid pretending to be a pompous connoisseur of the finest taste, I find one manga from time to time that gleams like a gem in the trashcan. One of such is Isekai Tensei Soudouki.
Isekai Tensei Soudouki introduces your typical "main character gets transported to another world" with an interesting
...
twist: 2 people gets reincarnated into a baby of this world. Together, the 3 souls in one body does things and create interesting and funny scenarios that would usually not occur otherwise. Along with the bizarre characters, hilarious facial expressions, and light-hearted atmosphere of this manga, I was in for a treat.
While it was by no means a masterpiece, I certainly enjoyed many laughs from reading this manga. I give this series my highest recommendation if you're bored enough to go through manga reviews to look for entertainment.

Only 1 adjective is fit to describe this series: Captivating
***TL;DR***
What I Like:
-Funny prankster and oddball main character who is overpowered but chill
-Fighting scenes
-Chinese-style Magic Circles (:O poggers)
-the sheer beauty of landscapes and trees
-Chinese instrumental music
...
What I am critical about:
-Shounen-ai
-Non-linear plot structure & time skips
-Unfamiliar chinese voice acting
I recommend you give this show at least a try! Most people may be turned off by the Chinese voice acting and the Shounen-ai aspect, making this show quite underrated. I find them more than tolerable and am quite enjoying the series.
___________________________________________________________
From the art style/animation and music to the plot structure and character interaction, this series has blessed my eyes and ears with delightful pleasure.
The art and animation of this series gives Ufotable Studio's Fate series a run for its money. However, it also derives its uniqueness by being very different in its art style. As a long time Japanese anime fan, I find this very refreshing because it does not feel like a Chinese knock-off copy. In fact, I am overjoyed that I'm watching something that feels both genuine and unique.
Seriously, I regret not being able to give the art and animation of this series a score higher than 10. It is incredibly gorgeous and one of main reasons why I easily tolerate some of the aspect of the show that I was more critical about when starting the series.
TBH, I'm tend to avoid Shounen-ai, since it is not my cup of tea. When I saw this tag in the genre labeling, I was a bit turn off. However, the bromance is within tolerable level since it is quite subtle and can pass off as a best friend type of relationship. However, I was warned by a friend that this aspect gets more pronounced as the story progress if the ONA is faithful in terms of plot to the Novel.
The chronological pacing of the show is a bit confusing. It may take a rewatch to fully understand what is going on. In the first episode, you will have to pay attention to the text to understand the context of the series. It was tedious to chronologically map out the plot in my head, but at the same time, i like how it made me think and try to truly understand everything, rather than the show just throwing everything at me and boring me to sleep. Make sure to pay attention to the plot texts!!
I also found the Chinese voice acting to be weird, since I usually listen to Japanese from your usual anime. The Chinese names will probably become a mess in your head, so you may want to a mental note of which name represent which character. As if to further torment your brain, each character may also have a nickname or a title. For example, the white-robed patriarch of the Lan family residing in Gusu goes by 3 names: Lan Wan Ji, Lan Zhan, HanGuang Jun.
I got used to both the Chinese and the name in a few episodes, so it is not too big of a problem.
Overall, the first 6 episodes were a pleasure to both watch and rewatch. Some things were confusing but it cleared up. I did not find rewatching to be tedious at all. In fact, I wanted to rewatch since the art was such a masterpiece, and you would have to anyways to compensate for its more confusing plot structure and story pacing. Finally, I want to leave with note of appreciation for the unique vibe of this series because it is refreshingly new due to the different cultural setting.
Thank you for reading my really long review LOL.

***SPOILER FREE REVIEW***
"Oh my... OH MY GOODNESS!" -All Might
How entertaining it was: 10/10. The only score that matters.
This show has been such an emotional and hilarious ride for me. Going into this series, I never thought I will like a wimpy crybaby protagonist so much.
In fact, after watching the first episode, I was thinking about dropping the show because the main
...
character seemed so pathetic. I thought it was going to be a shitty knock-off of One-punch man.
BOY WAS I WRONG!!!!
The protagonist is very smart, only wimpy because he is initially powerless.
This is a story of how he came a strong hero!
Right off the second episode, the series hit me with feel train. I laughed. I teared up. I became hooked. I went on to watched the whole series and jumped right into the manga.
For a shonen genre show, this series features a very mature atmosphere, showing us the harsh reality of life. And yet somehow, the show makes it so funny, emotional, and action packed with its masterful story progression, narration, very well developed characters, the animation, and the music. It really knows how to hype people up, similar to what Haikyuu is known for.
Oh my god. Do not get me started on the music. I can easily write a page about how perfectly fitting and ear-gasmic it is. But you would be bored of reading by then. It contributed so much to the viewing experience, enhancing the feels and emotions in the series.
Season 2 is currently airing, and the manga is very good (ranked top 10 on MangaTown).
Try the first 3 episodes. If you're in for a emotional yet funny action shonen geared towards both the young and mature, I guarantee you would enjoy Boku no Hero Academia.

Do you know that feeling of emptiness after you finish watching the last episode of a great anime, whose void cannot be immediately filled? ReLife is first anime that made me feel that way in a while. I have not thoroughly enjoyed an anime this much since 2014. While its plot revolved something more down-to-earth and reality (well the only exception being the ReLife pill), the anime always manage to make me smile and laugh. It is a wonderful slice-of-life that is not only very funny but relatable.
Unfortunately, I cannot capture how much I enjoyed this anime in a review, even though I just
...
finished watching it. And I will never bring myself to reveal any plot or spoil the show for you. I STRONGLY URGE to start watching this masterpiece of Summer 2016. The best part: all 13 episodes came out on the same day. NO WAITING FOR WEEKS!!!
Perks of the Anime:
-No needless lewd fanservice
-Beautiful animation, characters, and setting (i'm a huge sucker for works of art)
-Great voice acting in subtitle
-Very real slice of life with some serious subjects but always makes you laugh and grin in every episode
-Very relatable characters and situations
Cons:
-why only 13 episode T_T. I need more. the anime ends at manga chapter 109 btw.
Why are you still reading? God damn it. Stop wasting time and binge watch all 13 episodes like me! I promise you will not be wasting your time and will cherish this masterpiece.
Where i watched it: AnimeHaven.

Sometimes a paragraph or even an essay of words cannot fully capture why an anime is so good or bad. It is probably even harder for a person to convey to another person why the anime resonate so well with his being or why it disgust them so. This is because everyone has their own opinion and are entitled to theirs.
Ultimately, it takes a person to watch the anime to see if they actually like it, hate it, enjoy it or not.
***********
In this review, I will not be describing the plot or content of the anime like other reviews. I will tell you how I
...
feel about the anime and what about me that makes me like it.
***********
I occasionally enjoy an anime that dives deeper into the human emotion and psychology. But sololy focusing on that is not enough. There has to be action, comedy, tragedy for me to fully capture my attention and invest my time in watching it. Tokyo Ghoul is one of the few animes that delivers such a story for me.
While there are part of the anime that I didn't like, there were alot of find enjoyable and entertaining. There were some that left me feeling sad, some that i thought were messed up, and some that made me laugh.
If you want to watch an anime that is more than just mindless entertainment of superpower or bouncing boobs and vibrant panties, an anime that is a bit on the darker side but still provides you with you some comedy, meaningful relationship between character, then i would strongly recommend it for you.
PS. If you like my review or hate it, send me a message of appreciation or criticism. I readily accept both, since i already put my time in writing this after rewatching tokyo ghoul. Thanks for reading my extensive review! Luls.

***I wrote this review because i saw more critical reviews than fan-boy reviews. I want to introduce the perspective of someone who really loved the anime. I also excluded details of the anime so readers will not be getting any spoilers.***
Too many action/fighting genre animes aren't as fun to watch due to things plot-armor (meaning main characters never die) and repeatedly use the plot of a protagonist and antagonist that both power up until someone wins in the end. Akame ga Kill is not such an anime.
Akame ga Kill is an anime that delivers a funny yet dark, action-packed, adventurous story executed in a
...
near-perfect manner. I felt both ends of the emotional spectrum watching it: happy, excited, comically entertained as well as sad, depressed, and tearfully pained by things that happened in the anime.
To say Akame ga Kill is generic is literally spitting on a near-masterpiece and call it trash. Akame ga Kill does a fantastic job of delivering and executing a plot in which a group of powerful assassins attempt to overthrow a now-corrupted kingdom.
If you're in for a complete story with wonderful character interaction that make you laugh or cry; if you want an anime where they make you fear for the life of your favorite character, i would definitely highly recommend akame ga kill for you.
I give Akame ga Kill a rating of a 9. It is a very good anime for someone who enjoys good fighting action, comedy, and tragedy in one story. Even if you dislike anime with death and gore, dont mess out on this anime. You can complain about some of the stuff after watching!
