I feel that Eden no Hana is similar to The Name of the Flower in many ways. The most profound similarity in my eyes though, has to be the severe depth of emotion it shows. The complex backgrounds to feelings found in Eden no Hana always keeps you on the edge of your seat. Another similarity is the relationship between characters. In Eden no Hana, The two main characters (Midori and Tokio) are said to be brother and sister reunited by Tokio's desire to find his long lost sister. Even though they are said to be related, they can not help but feel their hearts' beating at the thought of one being with another person, or even smiling innocently at each other. The same goes for The Name of the Flower- although they are not brother and sister, they are said to be distant Uncle and Niece. Another, more faint resemblance between the two manga is the connection to flowers. Both stories make comparisons to how ones' feelings are like the beauty or nature of a certain flower or plant. Overall, I feel that if you enjoyed The Name of the Flower, you will very much enjoy Eden no Hana.
