I'll keep it brief.

This show is really good. If you just want to sit back and watch a really fun and interesting show, you're looking in the right place.

Story:
Most of the story is seeing how a fantasy civilization is exposed to the today's advanced military technology. It's a pleasure seeing how they interact. (i.e. the funny moments where people call war vehicles "iron elephants or iron Pegasuses"). It's pretty rare for anything to really embrace both fantasy and modern themes because most shows are either fantasy, modern, or modern with a little fantasy.

Art:
Art is pretty detailed. It doesn't ... look low budget at all.

Sound:
I really like the opening. It's not something that will stick in your head, but you may think twice before skipping over it each time it plays. The rest of the show's OST's is just alright.

Character:
This is probably a weak point in the show. I didn't really find anyone too interesting. Almost everyone fits some kind of archetype and doesn't really change at all. Although they're somewhat boring, I found everyone to be likable, including the protagonist. He's not some whiny kid or a complete loser. He's actually pretty mature compared to many other anime protagonists.

Enjoyment:
I'd say this is one of my favorite shows of the season. I found that the setting made this show really fun to watch. That being said, it's no masterpiece, but that's ok. This show is an example of a show that's just "fun", so I would recommend this to everyone.
