The production value for this anime is definitely high, but that's about it.
I seriously do not understand how users on MAL have given this anime such a high rating, because the story is incredibly bland and repetitive, and - like another reviewer said - feels more like a documentary, but if you were to make a bad documentary that stretches information out and poorly explains things. So, really, it is neither a good anime nor can you see it as a documentary of some sort.

I went into this anime with high expectations because of the previous Chinese anime I've watched called "Quanzhi Gaoshou," but it was anything but good.
The story's alright. You've got another MC who so happens to unlock a rare power/ability and is deemed as useless by the public at first. Soon the MC will shine and everyone thinks how amazing said MC is. We all probably know this trope by now.
