Karakuri Zoushi Ayatsuri Sakon

For anyone who enjoys a collection of good mysteries, I recommend Ayatsuri Sakon. Being classified in the same genre as Detective Conan, both series share a common ground. Whereas I view Detective Conan as something fun that could be watched for entertainment, I found Ayatsuri Sakon to be more believable and enjoyable when comparing the two. One of the best things I liked about the series is that all the cases are never solved within an episode, whereas the majority of Detective Conan cases are often solved within that time frame. I find this helps to keep your interests in check throughout the series, as well as giving you time to form your own conclusions. For anyone who enjoys mystery, I strongly recommend Ayatsuri Sakon.

Kino no Tabi: The Beautiful World

Let me start off by saying that these two are both very excellent series in my opinion. Kino's Journey and Mushi-shi possess a certain quality that draws you into their own world. Kino's Journey gives the feel of being in a slightly dark fairytale, whereas Mushi-shi draws you into what seems like a world of mythology and folklore. I strongly recommend either of these series to anyone who is interested in a story book feel to their anime.

Code Geass: Hangyaku no Lelouch
add

Code Geass is like a hybrid of Death Note and Gundam if you ask me. Lot's of mech action and a character who enjoys playing god with his newfound abilities. Death Note and Code Geass both have main characters who possess a god complex. They also have the power to change the world, and they both intend to use it to justify that end. If you enjoyed Death Note, then it's quite possible you'd like Code Geass as well. Unless you're the type who's not into mechs, I don't really see any other deterrent for you to watch this.

Pumpkin Scissors

I kind of like to describe Pumpkin Scissors as FMA without the alchemy. I think it's a really underrated series that should be taken a closer look at. Both series are very enjoyable to watch in my opinion, and they also have very similar military themes. Their worlds are pretty close in terms of technology as well. If you enjoyed watching FMA, then I think you'd enjoy Pumpkin Scissors since it does have a certain charm to it. Although I have to add, the ending for this series might let you down.
