Enjoy this one as a typical fantasy anime than a lot of others in the same genre. It isn’t my favorite by far, but I enjoyed this more than I would have thought. Lots of worthwhile stuff and the 12 episodes and arcs makes it feel a lot more digestible than other shows.

Outside a single episode and a few scenes, this is a pretty low stakes wholesome cute show, thankfully the episode that bucks this has a warning beforehand.

Really solid animation. Not exactly reinventing how magic looks in the fantasy anime genre, but it’s still solid.

Voice acting work is pretty good but not ground breaking ... as well. Like most the performances and will check out the work of some of these folks.

If you want a mostly cute and harmless fantasy anime, this isn’t a bad choice.

Beautiful looking anime that also has very stellar animation. A real love letter to the medium constituting three girls with three different relationships with the medium as well as three allegorical roles they play in the show.

It really is a small microcosm of issues one has trying to make stuff within the medium whether it be the tools one uses, lack of funding, audio, deadlines or just not having the right story for the world you want to show. It does a really nice job of balancing what the artists wish to get out of the work and what they could feasibly do with their ... timeframe and manpower.

Outside the art, the VA performances from the 3 leads as well as the student council are pretty top notch but I think the rest of the cast is about average for the show.

Really the visual spectacle and in depth look at creative processes is what makes this show worth watching. Decent recommendation.

I think the best thing about this show is its OP. It’s quite good. Outside that however? Not that big a fan of this show. Maybe over time with more time spent on character development and such I could get into it, but I was just so uninterested in this show.

I think this show sort of fucks around and does so little for so long and per episode that by the time that maybe it’s getting better, the season ends. Maybe fans of the source material enjoy that but I just could not deal with the humor or plot stuff. Felt lowbrow and just ... not my thing.

Also just… a lot of the characters both in terms of design and voice direction irritated me. I was generally not having a good time listening to this show.

It did about fine for what it was in terms of animation I guess but I can’t really commend it all that much either. Just felt serviceable.

Anything I might say about the first season I can also say of this one.

Still some great visuals, some solid music and sound effects, and nice characters.

I will say the initial charm of the story and arcs isn’t as key here however and that’s why it gets a lower score.

I still very much enjoy this show and advocate others check it out but I also can sort of see it, either during this season or potentially down the line, just not being my “thing” outside some production stuff I really like.

I enjoy the characters and stories but I by no means hold them ... in my heart like other works. But if that’s the case for fans of this show, more power to them. I still think it has a lot of strengths

I don’t know what my initial thoughts about this anime would be prior to viewing, but it really did deliver in so many different ways.

I can say very plainly that I love how the show looks and sounds at almost all times. Sound effects for the hobby of golf as well as just all this music that fits the vibe helps to make it stand out.

I do also like just all this character design and animation. So many nice bright colors and sakuga moments and pleasant to look at characters.

The story is a bit of one that may take itself too seriously at times, but ... still an otherwise enjoyable ride that I did enjoy.

Don’t hate but also don’t really care for this sort of anime. It’s just not my thing. I can sometimes do gag humor and cute girls doing cute stuff, but i don’t know if it’s the cast or what, but I was not jelling with it.

I would say character designs are pretty strong, along with the animation in general. But I think the characterization just also isn’t for me. Feels more obnoxious than funny personally. I can’t really enjoy it all on its own.

The voice work is also just fine. Not particularly noticeably good or bad either way from my viewing.

Some gags and episodes in ... the season were fine but others just dragged and I was totally not having a good time.

Slight improvement for the second season based on a bit better character development and dialogue that doesn’t make me hate myself.

Still hate the primary characters a lot and think it’s just not my thing. Ensemble feels a bit better.

Almost everything else still feels painful. Fan service being the primary way we see “good” animation, plots and their developments feeling like complete ass pulls, and just mediocre performances.
Near the tail end of this season I saw even more promise. Some developments in a good direction, but it was too little too late.

I still think overly cold and borderline insufferable characters having a slow burn “power ... of friendship” arc sucks. Bad but not as bad as Season 1.

One of the most frustrating and just plain bad anime I have seen with a premise I wouldn’t necessarily hate if actually done in a good way.

Even something I normally give good points for for voice work, I just actually can’t really say is strong. Maybe some people like the “nonchalant” performance of the main character, but it’s so boring and uninvested. It may work for the character, but it’s just plain bad to hear.

Animation is also very sparsely good. So few good good character designs or motions outside dumb fan service bullshit.

God this was a slog to go through. This show just wants to ... feel so smart and do these 6th dimensional chess moves and it earns absolutely none of it.

I initially thought with a promising first episode and music that made a good impression, that I would have another shot but good series on my hand. Turns out I just happened to lose interest in this thing and just didn’t jive with the plot.

How things developed felt… clunky. I don’t really know how to put it. And I thought the promising stuff from earlier on that made for a good impression sort of faded over time to a pretty standard and meh show.

VA work is fine but nothing to really applaud.

Still enjoy the music.

I even do think there is some decent action and animation ... at times but I think I am just more disappointed that this series didn’t pan out like I had hoped.

The few things I will get out of the way before anything is that I absolutely enjoy and cherish the music of this anime. Sets the tone and vibe of the whole work and think that it is a strong suit there.

Additionally I think I actually enjoy the contentious art design for the most part. I like the character designs and how their fabric works. Reminds me of Mononoke or for a western example, the Cartoon Network show Chowder. What I don’t think is as great are some of the 3D models used sporadically. Some aren’t quite that bad but many just feel off.

Think cast ... is solid as well.

As for story and plot, I actually haven’t read the Count of Monte Cristo, but I think this is a fairly engaging story. I think setting it in the future makes for some visuals and moments but I also think it slightly detracts from the narrative or vengeance going on. I also feel as though the first few episodes feel slow but it picks up in the middle and by the conclusion I was very engaged. This isn’t my favorite anime but I appreciate viewing it and recommending it to others.
