Here's my review for a favorite manga of mine
Story 10
It was incredible, the story drives you through series of emotions and keeps you interested for the sake of the lore and characters of the world that was made. From the very exposition until the conclusion, it all connects well, it was coherent and cohesive. Questions were formed and then answers are given.
The story put off a strong start, that is when the main character, Eren, starts his journey to become one of the best written characters that I encountered. A strong emotional start, a world that was in
...
peace and prosperity and then in just a moment everything turned around. "What happens next?" would then be the question that pulls you into the story, a really outstanding way of writing by Isayama.
The ending gave the characters their respected conclusions. The story ended in way that brought back the feeling of how I felt for the very first time starting the story.
Art 9
Talking about art, it is above decent. Perfectly captures emotions of characters, beautiful sceneries, and the feeling that gives the world full of wonder. I am not an artist myself but it is a hella ton of amazing art.
Characters 10
Backstories of characters were very well made. Every character was unique, Isayama did a great job giving life to the characters present within the manga. The development of attitude and relationships between characters were realistic and relatable that make us be empathetic and understand them in a greater deal that would feel like they were real people. From love to betrayal, relationships that are so hard to convey but was done perfectly for the manga.
Each one of the characters are interesting, becoming attached to them would be really detrimental as we all know the fictional world of AOT can be harsh to our beloved characters. The manga gave them situations that put them at the edge, life and death situations, and the very hard choices that one had to make. These made them real and unique.
Enjoyment 9
Like any other form of entertainment, not everyone will get into it. People that loves world-building will surely like this manga. It captures the said genres perfectly. So yes give it a read.
Overall - 8/10
For years, every month I was excited for I know a new chapter would come and yes it would always make the start of the month a whole lot better. Really interesting then ends hanging that would make you desperate for the new chapter. It is so good to keep you reading and finish the whole thing. The world was well made, from Eldian to Marley and other small nations. The difference between them, the discrimination shown, how people acts. The delivery was great for readers to empathize and relate. Other than that all the characters, main and side are likeable and just has a purpose for what they are. They may annoy you and the may bring out emotions from you.
The mystery was really great on the beginning of the manga it was the reason why I stayed and made it my favorite manga. You would love how everyone made theories before answers were given for it.
And of course, not everyone would like everything. The conclusion is a really important section of all kinds of literature and the conclusion made by Isayama may not be for everyone.
Beware of the final arc it may satisfy you or dissatisfy you for how it became. It was a great conclusion for the world of attack on titan. But my opinion for the ending is that it is bleak and mediocre. It was a strong end but it should've conveyed strongly.
