Normally I don't like writing or reading reviews for anime, often my taste and opinions don't coincide with the majority and I end up feeling that people are being too harsh with their reviews of the show, however with this show I ended up disappointed and first need to make some things clear in case of people like myself.
Firstly, I really liked the show up until this point. Meliodas and Elizabeth's story was something that I actually really liked and it tied up most of the story pretty nicely. Despite the quality drop in season 3, I felt that this season was animated well and
...
while it's no Demon Slayer or Jujutsu Kaisen level of quality, it's satisfactory, with the attack animations remaining good and the character animations meeting the status quo.
With this being said, this season's plot disappointed me more that words can express fighting the Demon King was inevitable and him reviving to be fought again isn't something too out of the ordinary for this show, however, the entire plot based around chaos was the straw that broke the camel's back. Not only did it overshadow basically everything they had done up until that point but it also felt as if everything was irrelevant compared to it. It also only lasted for like 2-3 episodes and made the actual ending of the show feel unsatisfying despite how long the journey was to get there.
Overall if you liked the show up until now I'd recommend watching all the way up until episode 20 and then just stop watching, your own imagination could probably come up with a better ending to the show.
