I just finished watching Kingdom season 4... and it was awesome!
Now looking back at the season 1 anime adaptation of Kingdom, I have to say it, It was not good... but it was not bad either.
My first view of season 1 was that it was badly adapted. With the overuse of CGI, I hated it. I mean it is an anime adaptation, people prefer anime over manga because their favorite characters are alive with animation, voices, soundtracks, etc.
The only reason I kept on watching this anime is because of its interesting plot.
I will deduct 2 points for its bad animation and our ... main character shin. Kingdom is an anime about politics, and war with clever tactics. But our boy shin is beating high lever commanders with recklessness and ease! It made war look easy and fun!
And most of all, WHERE IS BLOOD!?? This anime is rated R for violence and blood but where is it??
But these were all bad things I found in this anime... otherwise, it is a damn good anime that gets better over time. There are many intense battles, twists and turns, goosebumps, and heartbreaking moments too.
And as the season goes on... it gets better and better!
overall, I liked the anime enough to give it a whole 7 rating.
I went through all CGI boring fights and it was worth it all.

before watching anime version I had already read manga ( I think many have ) so it was obvious to me what would happen later on. Still this did not hamper any of the enjoyment I got from the show.
I love JOJO series when I heard about part 6 announcement I was really excited. but somewhere deep I thought that this part (first half) would not satisfy anime only watchers. JOJO anime series has been giving rated anime rated one after another, after reading manga I thought i will not enjoy as i had while reading manga but i was wrong. though the contents ... are same the music, direction and the tense moment of the series still lives up.
Being true to the original source, the art style hasn't change much and is true to the manga. somewhere i found use of CGI for sec but its ok. the 3D style opening video was awesome.
David production is really good with adapting JOJO so I have much complain about the animations.
I think what really got me hooked up are the soundtracks used in it. Just like other JOJO parts, David productions has always been good at giving best soundtracks and music.
In terms of character, even though not all characters all thoroughly detailed and given growth, I like weather report character. maybe because I already know about him? I don't know. still its good. If this was the first time watching this season without reading manga then I think there would be change in the score.

Even still being covered around small area. the research done on the place and the use of power of stand was done very well.
Who could have thought one catch ball game could be this serious and intimidating. well that 'BIZZARENESS' is what defines 'JOJO' series.


I really loved JOJO stone ocean half part. Now excited for the release of next half part.

I don't know how to react or look back on this OVA. Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai: Tensai-tachi no Renai Zunousen OVA was a hell of dissapointing for me. Never mind me I'm actually a fan of kaguya sama: love is war series. And I was really looking forward for a season 3 and of course an OVA.


well yeah, OVA may or may not be related to actual story. It's actually made for entertainment and I clearly have no problem with that but Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai: Tensai-tachi no Renai Zunousen OVA presents you guys or lead characters of both season , for whom we all sympathesized and ... loved are fantasizing about their own FRIENDs to unknown uncensored book ( please understand what I mean ) and they don't even feel guilt about it.


This so called fanservice episode is only trying to defame the girls shown here.

I don't know about you guys but I kinda had difficulty watching this.

well i had lot of expectation on this one. its comedy, art, characters were pretty decent. the pacing was not so good. It had potential, well a lot of potential but failed. its neither bad nor too good. seemed like a decent 7 for me. that magical punch( actually kick) got me their laughing but i wouldn't give it marks for comedy.

the plot and story was predictable. The characters were not fully utilized. seems like like i have been giving only bad reviews.

well pacing is also bad.

the good thing I liked and the noticable (for me at least ) was that MAGICAL PUNCH!!!! ... (but actually MAGICAL KICK!!)
