So I'm simply writing a review simply because there are none available. This is will not be by any means, an extensive review since it has an overall run time of 10 minutes.
On first glance, one can be hard pressed to call it anime, but it works in the shows favor. It goes for the Gakuen Handsome route, and does it well. The ending has charm since the director himself sings it (no cap, I loved it). Each episode are short, constant quips that last like 10 seconds each.
All in all, this show did its job and I don't think it really deserves
...
its low rating. It's short and sweet. I laughed, and I enjoyed myself.

I’m not going to lie; I had no plans on watching this show at all. I tried watching years ago when it just got released on Netflix. I watched it with friends and kept falling asleep, so it was on the ‘forget and leave alone list.’ However, in an attempt to find something to do while doing my sister’s hair for 8+ hours, I wanted something to watch that didn’t require too much brain power, and Nanatsu no Taizai was the perfect choice. This show is pretty much your run-of-the-mill bread and butter shonen.
Story (3/10):
The story is pretty simple. The kingdom is corrupt and
...
overrun by an evil knight order and it’s up to the seven deadly sins to help. It’s nothing super unique, but it’s easy to digest, which is the reason why I picked up the show. But that doesn’t give it a free pass from the painfully mediocre plot.
Characters (2/10):
-Meliodas: Unfortunately, the protagonist of this show is hands down the weakest of the bunch. His motivation seems painfully ingenuous at times. Now, I usually never advocate for feminism, especially in anime with tropes and whatnot. I don’t think it’s needed, plus it scares me. But oh my dear God, the dynamic between Meliodas and Elizabeth ranges from mildly annoying to downright frustrating. It’s one thing to have a character to be perverted and lecherous. That’s fine. But Meliodas damn near molests her every frame they’re in, and I’m supposed to buy the fact that she falls in love with him? Uh, nah.
-Elizabeth: Her character is a sac of air with tits. She has little to no depth other than being the push that the Meliodas apparently needs to bring the gang back together.
-Ban: Definitely one of the better characters in this show. He has a cool character design, an actual motive, and a semi-interesting backstory. Can't say he's enough to save this category.
-King: He's alright. Not as good as Ban, but at least he has a motive I guess.
Animation (5/10):
It’s pretty average, not gonna lie. Moments where action picks up, it’s just okay.
Sound (5/10):
Though I think the soundtrack is pretty average as well, but the tracks I don’t dislike I actually enjoy. They definitely work with the fantasy setting that is this show. Too bad there’s only a couple of them.
Overall (4/10):
I’m a shounen slut, but this series was pretty frustrating to get through. As much as I’m okay with shoveling in mediocrity, but holy hell this takes the cake.

I'm usually pretty lenient with anime that I can turn my brain off to, but this series takes the cake for being worse that painfully mediocre. This has been on my plan to watch list for ages because this looked/seemed interesting. Let's just say I've never been so baffled by a series with a semi-decent rating be so bad.
Art/Animation/Visuals (1/10):
This was comically bad at times. There have been plenty of reviews shitting on the gun play and how it's not right. That aside, characters designs are average at best. Animation is lazy 80% of the time which is painfully bad for a show like
...
this where action and fights should be the highlight.
Plot (2/10):
What plot? I'm okay with one-shot types series where each episode is not linear to the next, but holy shit. I doubt there was a single moment where an arms deal actually happened. It almost always turns to shit and looks like hell.
Characters (2/10):
They're all cardboard boxes honestly. Koko is hands down the worst, which is bad for the main. character. Quirky, crazy, loco Koko doing her shenanigans again! Gimme a break
Sound: (4/10)
The opening is cringe. It's painful to listen to. That aside, the OST isn't the worst thing I listened to. I can't rate it any higher though since nothing visual is entertaining enough to match the audio.
Overall (2/10):
So. This was 4 hours of my time I am never getting back. If you want interesting gun fights or an actual plot, hell, High School of the Dead does a better job. Please don't waste your time.

I'm a Nigerian degenerate that lives in the states and doesn't really want to remain here, I might mess around and head up to Canada We'll see. If I do, Imma show this video to my kids or something idk.
Story was wholesome, appreciated the supporting characters showcasing Canadian kindness
Coulda done with some better music
I definitely enjoyed watching it. Reminded me that I should probably leave America.
