I decided to read this manga by just looking at the cover and I was not disappointed. It easily stands out from other generic trash with It's style. Surely there are manga with better art but the way this manga frames things is just extraordinary.

The original story is apparently based on a book and it is quite short yet enjoyable. we get to see the story of the next heir of a carpentery. he struggles with life as he lost many things dear to him in a fire and he wants to rebuild his life. The whole story is extremely relatable and endearing.

Overall this ... is probably not a good review but just take my word for it and read it. It is quite short, has character and you will definitely not regret it.

It started strong with quite good animation and a strong premise but after the first 4 episodes I got quite bored. The characters are like cardboard cutouts which makes them infinitely not relatable. The main character is the usual nerdy MC and then we have a tsundere love interest/partner which sounds nice because I enjoyed Mirai Nikki a lot but the way this show handles their relationship just is cringy.

The animation in fight scenes was decent but it is definitely not worth watching with this kind of story. The show just puts tsundere fanservice on the from to hide its depth.

Maybe give it a watch ... while you wait for your other shows to air but you are just better of not watching at all.

Just an incredibly relatable manga. I personally related to Yugami because of the overall "emotionlessness" of his character but there is a lot of people to relate to in this manga. Everyone is fleshed out and even though they sometimes fall into usual archetypes it still does not subtract from their character.

What makes this manga work is it is also a baseball manga but it hides this under the slice of life disguise. This helps to flesh out characters more because it gives them a reason to overcome hardship. But being a slice of life manga it never shifts the focus away from the characters ... and strikes a nice balance between the two.

It is a very enjoyable story and very laid back. It is also finished publishing so you can start reading without fearing any hiatus whatsoever.

I started watching this because of all the memes but I stayed because it is a solid watch. Very relatable characters, high-quality animation, and nice humor are the strongpoints. Sometimes even the smallest thing is over-exaggerated to unreasonable levels but that is kinda the way this show works.

I strongly recommend you watch this even if it is to keep up with the memes it is a solid show. For those of you that want something more realistic and down to earth this is definitely not your show but don't worry there is never a shortage of high school romance

I just watched this recently and never have I ever enjoyed something this much in a long time. I just love the character dynamics, the harry potter style concept and the overall feel. Studio trigger never fails to amaze me with fantastic worldbuilding and character designs and this is one of their finest work on par with Guren Lagan.

The story might not be the most interesting one and some plot twists are just too blatant in some cases but still the atmosphere sells it all. Very good voice acting (didn't watch dubs) and overall high production quality even on the tv show comparable to ... the movies.

I suggest you give this and the movies a watch. Its quite binge worthy and easy to watch even with 25 episodes(quite rare nowadays).
