Now I understood why Kadokawa spam this anime in their shorts.
DUMB ME FOR DROPPING AT EPS 2 BEFORE!
This show is a hidden gem. There's nothing special if you dropped at eps 3, cause you saw many random chars popped out of nowhere. But onwards is where it gets interesting. You finally see how these random chars interact with Saitou and his party, how they will contribute to the story, and etc.
This is a close sensation to Ousama Ranking, but at faster pace.
There, we got heartbreaker and super hype moments... and kinda meh last eps(still great show, watch it). But in Saitou, we got comedy, we
...
got chars being talkative, we got satisfaction, we got great last eps.
I want the hero and b1tch to be removed tho. They are trashy.

I heard about the other medias from TERU-chan
The anime did very lazy. Elna and Claus was supposed to be the main dig, but the anime cut their backstory digging so much.
So, the novel works really well because v1 only had 2 named character. Here, they also used bug and "actually 8" gig.
Manga, unlike the anime and novel, used hidden camera instead and had nice characters digging in the training arcs. It's clear there are 8 students, but the change from bug to camera gives all the chars chance to tell their backstory. (here, Elna's was less digged tho)
Personally... yeah, the anime did dirty. It feels
...
like how Isekai Nonbiri Nouka gave us spoiler right off the bat.
studio feel, you gave us two great seasons of oregairu giving suspense and urge to not stop watching, you guys must've known what's good and what's bad in adapting LN.
Why are you even playing speedrun...
Kadokawa pushed this so hard that they forgot what's important is the anime and not the famous VAs? They did well with Eminence in Shadow considering how many cast is involved in the show, but they treat Spy Classroom as waifu bait and done?

After the failures of implementing SoL and filler moments in Build Diver + Re: Rise, we finally got an enjoyable SoL moments.
What's wrong with combining Gundam and School, leaving the politics for later? Gundam is trying a new thing by doing some cliche stuff, and it slaps good. Moreover, a brand new world that newcomers can enjoy.
What I love about this series is they try to be different while keeping the concept of spacians vs earthians. The series also has great dialogue, the opening and ending themes are filled with proper meaning from Aerial's perspective, and the sakuga is amazing.
This series is scattered like a
...
puzzle.
1. The prologue that hasn't been told the year in the official site
2. The official short novel that took place after Elnora came to Mercury but not told what year exactly, revealing Aerial has personality(they released this short novel around eps 1 btw), and Elnora's revenge. This Short Novel is also the base of the opening lyrics.
3. The TV series that finally has clear of what year the story takes place.
Because of the official haven't told what year the prologue and short novel took place, there's a high possibility that they have more twist hidden.

It's been pretty a long time I've seen a rom-com with no ecchi or lewd fanservices, this anime is a lifesaver for rom-com nowadays. Since nowadays rom-com is full of... romance targets teasing/& annoying the MC.
This is not isekai, but a creature is counted to be reverse isekaied.
The hardest part to clear is the wizard and project introduction. Too damn long, hope it can be compressed to just 3 min.
In terms of character exchanges, this anime did a good job. I love how Anzu is so shounen trope, and the others came from shoujo tropes.
A creature, Riri the wizard came to Anzu's place and set
...
up things like in otome game so Anzu can get love. Because Anzu's 3 greatest needs got robbed so that she can get serious in the program, Anzu got stubborn and defied all the flags Riri sets. Still, she got surrounded by hot guys anyway.
Still can't really bear with how competitive Riri is. Too many scenes to make him look annoying, but a good guy in the end. It's kinda like forced. In short, I didn't like his char... or they, whatever that creature's gender is.

This is the worst bakugan season in character writing and story development.
We got 3 seasons with Dan already matured as leader, suddenly we got him as an overproud egoist leader in season 4, making all his character build to waste. "Leader must not trouble members, I've to solve my problem on my own" excuse me, Dan, you and members fought deadly battles in every season.
I couldn't believe this Mechtogan concept. They appear out of bond between bakugan and human after all this time? It went berserk the first time it got summoned, how can you call it the fruits of bond?
This whole season is just
...
adding giant mechs and giga giant mechs + bakugan controlling mechs. Do you even need bakugan for these mechas that can move by theirself?
SPOILER
The last season for Battle Brawlers, intended to have many fanservice, but nothing hits except Spectra imo.
Runo would be great if she had more lovey dovey part with Dan.
Also, those Aquos and Zephyros partners of Marucho and Shun, I laughed so hard because they didn't even meet and just died. Diablo and Phoenix weren't given any lines, what a bummer.
Now that I think of it, are they fix dead, or got revived after the 'most logical mechtogan concept on the show that also absorbed dead bakugan energies like scenes from Digimon' got defeated?

*Warning: my grammar is pretty bad.*
"Ew, why are you marrying your daughter?" maybe many people said that after hearing what happened in this series, or maybe guessed it just from the title.
Age-gap relationship is something many people thought as crazy, but you must've heard how some rich old man somehow married an adult woman 10+ years younger than the guy in real life, or maybe the reverse. Well, things happen in real life, crazy or not.
But in this series, you can just turn blind eye to the age gap as how adorable (shy girl template) Latina is growing and her geunine feelings to her savior--Dale.
...
What surprised me is, the title didn't really last long (even so, I can't think of another titles that can represent the story). When it happens, it comes so sudden and fast.
Story: (7)
The anime adapted up to 30% of vol 3.
Time is the main trouble for this series. I don't mind the time skips, but I hate when they had slice of life whatever flashback insert after Latina grew so big. I want to enjoy the present Latina I'm currently reading, not getting back to the past to read a random SoL moment.
Vol 5 still had the best writing imo. Vol 8 is second best written.
Art: (8)
As light novel art, I prefer Kei's art. The art evolves each time, and vol 8 had the best arts.
Ending: (8)
It wraps up nicely at vol 8, hits the readers about "living a different time".
Vol 9 contains some after vol 8 wedding, but it is mostly extra contents from the past of the characters.
Latina's parents whole story was explained in vol 6, but of course you need to know vol 1-5 main events.

I often despise Disney Movie when the songs aren't fun. Frozen "Build A Snowman" and "Let It Go", also Despicable Me "Minion Song" turned out so good.
I am sure that "song" wasn't needed in this anime.
Every character supposed to be emotional, but somehow I can't immerse.
This is supposed to depict youth and human relation, but I didn't find anything outstanding. What I found is just a gloomy story, and somehow forced to become happy.
Story about "AI is Human" has been done so much better before with better characters. Like in Plastic Memories.
J.C. Staff, the studio that adapted many youth anime set in high school. Their
...
quality of adapting that kind of anime dropped since Sakurasou(even though they changed the scenario from the LN, it turned out so well).
If you are asking me to watch this when I already had a heartbroke watching a youth series that aired 9-10 years ago from them, this is just a disappointment.

At first episode, I found this is interesting. Mainly, the ending of the first episode gave me shivers. Of course I also thought that this thing is kinda familiar, coz it reminded me vibes of AhoHana and SAO, but I just laughed it off and enjoyed the episode.
Second episode, I'm starting to think about the story. I mean, the concept is good, but the intro of the events are sucks that I will say only 3 points of 10. Wonder who's wrong at this, the author or the director?
Third episode, really, I'm disappointed about the increasing lacks of event introductions, even the story are getting
...
too shallow that i will only give it 1 point of 10. It reminds me of my first time writing a script for a play in my class. And when the play went on, I screwed up. There is many lacks in the play.
Studio Lerche, I always watching your series except Hakumei and Mikochi. I am pretty impressed about the art improvement of animations each year. Danganronpa series are improving. Ansatsu Kyoushitsu also rocks. KinoTabi is interseting. Elite Classroom are the best so far. And yet...
Not only this anime lacks the evolution of Lerche, I cant even find what is 'Lerche'-ish about this. The sequel and prequel of Danganronpa are very well made, but not for this anime.
Okay, continue. The third episode clearly lacks MMORPG-style fighting, interseting dialogues, much more intro of events than before, the deepness of character's feelings, kinda monotone, and the thing that irritates me is...
Haruto's reawakening and Asahi's evolution. It really made my 'boy' heart beats. Yet I was dumbfounded how fool I am when Satsuki says "Asahi didn't die. You are alive here." just like that without any expressional intro like sighing and shading to make it more mysterious. It sounds so monotone, dang it! And, it ends.
If they can make the 'last events' so good, at least go review the previous scenes if you want to increase the ratings by the last scene. Well, to me, they failed because of Satsuki's lines and the vibes when she say it.
Yet, I'm still waiting for next episode. It is really awkward, but it somehow attracts me to watch more. Maybe my review is too harsh, but, I won't drop this series. I just want to express some crams I had thought of the creator team.
And above is my review up to the third episode.
Entering episode 4, I saw all the components are much much better and more convincing than the second and third episode. Thanks for the hardwork, creator team.
Hope this is helpful. Sorry for my horrible english...
