Both are comedies centering on a group of cute high school girls, yet (refreshingly) neither relies on sexy fanservice for its appeal, giving each a similarly lighthearted and simply charming atmosphere. The appeal comes straight from the quirky characters with their charming personalities, including some likable teacher characters for support. Beyond their humor, both also manage to deliver some heartwarming and relatable emotion in their latter halves.
