This isn't the best manga I've ever read. The chapters are short, the story is basic and the characters' goals are very simple. And you know what, it's okay. I didn't come to this comic expecting anything grand, it's just the story of a guy who fell in love with a woman mainly because of her abs.
Leo is strong, has a cute side and is learning to love herself and being loved, and that's it. Fooly If you want to give a time for any other manga with more story focus, that's a good one to give you some time to relax. It's just
...
fun, light hearted, silly romantic comedy with a actual decent ending, and by decent i mean that it don't made me mad.

That the doble number of the beast for you. If I have watch Kill la Kill after Jubei-chan, I would say that Kill la Kill is a ultimate upgrade: it has over the top humor, forth wall break, action and a somehow stupid plot that become interestin later.
Unfortunately, this anime is one of the worst cases I have ever seen presenting its worst in the worst possible way (yes, the triple worst was on purpose). I say this specifically for the humor and the presentation of some secondary characters, with Bantaro as the supreme manifestation of this type: he talks too much, appears as a

comic character in serious scenarios and only fills sausages. Why does this guy exist at all? Every time he showed up I was annoyed because I knew he was going to steal the show in a stupid mood.
BUUUUT, there is good thing to bring about the show. My favorite was how its presentes the drama behind the Nanohana famaly story, how the fears and blame affected father and daughter, specialy Sai with his backstory as an absent father.
Quick here, I like the Will vs Responsibilite plot, although weak, similar to Reborn! and Nurarihyon no Mago where the protagonist realise that if he/she don't assume whatever is going on things will get worse or something like this. I like Jiyu as a protagonist, her father as a character and any sidekick who is not primarily involved with the comic part. Finally, in my opinion, this show has a weak begining and a bust throght the end.

Among all the pros and cons within this manga, the more evident and big weakness is the fact that is a very short story that deserve more. And the strong aspect, living in the shadow of that weakness, is the amount of potention that is put on the table.
The presentation is not strong, aside from the main character and her rival in the 2 late books. Again the fault falls on how short this manga is. I can see the build up for the allies, for the future rivals, for the protagonist future and mma universe. Those 21 chapters really make me want more.
I
...
enjoy the fighting scenes and the characters desings (simple, but straight). If i have to choose a flaw it would be the lack of muscular evidence on their body desing, aside for some really beefy, big characters.
With you want a good story to pass time, give it a shoot because is worth it, but be aware that the feeling of incompliteness will expect you in the end.

If I need to choose one word to discrebe this manga it would be "Inconsistency". What I mean by that is that the story can't decide where it want to go; Is this a hardcore ecchi/soft hentai manga that show sexy girls in a ton of erotic situations? Is this a comedy which explorer the good, the bad and the crazy about the trash entertainment industry? Is this a slice of life about a model who get attached to the adult industry and want to grow to be more popular? Is this a grim story about a girl who was lure to enter in this
...
job and now is lock in a monstruos world that treat their employees like non-human garbege? Wait, I forgot the martial arts thing.
If only the mangaká chouse one of these opitions it would be great. There are some chapter that, isolated, have a solid plot and context, but than they come glued with this chimera with idententy crisis that don't want to make its name on anything. The jokes about human exploration and rape are not funny, the sexy scenes feels off, the martial arts can be forgettable and the dark, more violent moments shows out of the blue; and, just as easy as it show up, it goes away, leaving a bad taste for the reader to remember.
At least, I really like the art, the choreography and the fighting trivia. If the author decides to wright a martial art manga with hot girls, I definitively gonna read it. This one, though, is trash.
I will keep reading, must because of the art, but also to have a good exemple of a bad manga and what you shouldn't do with it.

By the time of this review, I watch 6 episodes of the series and, honestly, something get really wrong on this show.
Before anything, I'd like to talk that, somehow, I enjoing the show (despite making many negative reviews). I thing is more because I try to imagine how to remake the show to turn in something better.
The idea of the plot is very interesting and that I never see in a mecha show, where two people control a giant robot: one as a pilot and other as the one who brings "life" to the mecha. That's fun.
The second thing that I love in this show
...
is the main female protagonist. Zero Two is a girl with personality and charisma, someone with an aggressive style and who kicks the front door and steps down on the boss's desk, and, of course her visual is unique, really like it.
Now about what I dislike (to not say hate):
First of all, the main male protagonist. He is the type of one how I like to call Kirito type: a person with a personality that changes depending on the situation, don't have a extraordinary visual and particularly has a personality who tries to please Greeks and Trojans. Of course, Hiro is not a full Kirito, but he also don't have charisma, even less comparing with Zero Two.
Second, whata hell is this way of piloting a mecha!? OK, the problem is not the form, but rather the way it's applied in the show; is just so stuped. I belive that's the Trigger side of story, but the narrative is far from being like Kill la Kill or even Gurren Lagann, where the rule of nonsense is applied. They want us to see this show as something serious and not as something slashed, a deconstruction of gender or a parody, because, if it is so, this is the most sober mecha parody I've ever seen.
I don't know who end cracking this show, if was Trigger that make very funny joke shows that had serius and great impact, or if was A-1 who try to please everyone before making a great series (I want to belive that's A-1 Pictures fault, but I'm not sure it's that all). I don't have nothing against the art style and character design, inded both studios use the best of the each other, but their anime style have collisions that compromise the final product.
In my anime experience, I've seen Trigger use a more cartoonsque and caricature style both in the art desing and stories, while A-1 has a style closer to the ground, without the ridicule (although most of A-1 animes that I saw were ridiculous). They were able to fit into the art, but the narrative style failed to convey something really fun or worthwhile, which is a shame because I was sure that this anime could be the best of the season.
I will still watching this show. As I say, I like to see to turn it better and, for some masoquist reson, it's so fun to comment my impressions while watching this.
