Master Keaton in my humble opinion is the best Episodic anime I've seen so far. Though I can admit it's not for everyone since this series requires you to have an understanding of contemporary history. The series touches subjects on the Cold War and many Geopolitical conflicts from the era.
The story follows Taichi Keaton, who is a veteran of the Falkland's War and a former SAS officer in the British Army. His combat training and survival skills help him land a job as an insurance investigator from a prestigious agency known as Loyd's of London. This line of work takes him in some ... of the most peculiar places and situations. Keaton travels to different cities in Europe, the middles east and even the desserts of China trying to solve insurance claims on inheritance, businesses and expensive items belonging to some of the elite members of society. These investigations often put his life at risk, where Keaton deals with Russian Mobsters and former KGB agents, deals with thieves and professional hitmen.
Each episode brings a new story and new characters that are very interesting, I only wish some of those stories could have been a bit longer but other than that they are very enjoyable.
Love how Keaton is a badass and yet very average, divorced middle aged man with a teenage daughter. the way he looks just screams average at best, yet in reality he is a professional in his line of work.
The art in this anime is immaculate and can see the 90s era portrayed really well in this series. Keaton is a man full of class and the series shows appreciation to the finer things in life.
Don't skip this hidden gem, you'll definitely love it.

I originally started watching the very first series from 1979 back when I was in High School and was quite an enjoyment. You can clearly see in a way how life was like back in the 70s and Mobile Suit Gundam portrays the people’s perspective and outlook of the future with its flying cars, giant robots and Space Battle Ships.
This trilogy does a great job in condensing the story line with a very decent pace. This second movie does an even better job in following this military drama.
Though it was intended for children the plot touches on deep subjects such as the death ... of family and friends, betrayal and self improvement through difficult times, all which you can see in the path of the MC Ray Amuro. He keeps fighting in this long and difficult war of attrition.
The art and battle scenes are vey well executed compared to its first movie. The music is very good and reminiscent of what you would see in films from the 70s.
I would recommend people getting into Gundam and this trilogy is a perfect way to start.

I first watched the original Mobile Suit Gundam series from 1979 when I was in high school and I first started to get into the anime medium. Back then I wanted to learn more about the history of anime and Mobile Suit Gundam is definitely one of those foundations the expanded anime to the western world. Before Pokémon came along, the craze was all about Mobile Suit Gundam toys and games in the 80s.
Although the series hasn’t aged well, the trilogy movies is a slight improvement from the original series.
It is easy to digest and the series doesn’t feel too dragged ... out as the original. Art work is fairly decent and the diologue in English dub is really nice. For some reason when I watched the series it takes me to the decades of the 80s, in a way you can learn a bit about the lifestyle of people during the 80s
This first film covers the events of Amuro Ray’s first flight into the Gundam all the way up to the fight with Garmna Zabi.
Definitely the trilogy movies is a good option if you don’t want to watch it’s longer version.

Definitely it's one of the Animes you gotta watch before you die.
The drama and suspense are great as the story progresses.
The beginning of the plot takes place in the future after a major impact nearly wiped out humanity. After the impact the united nations funded a private company named "NERV" to create enormous machines they call EVAs.
15 years after the Impact a new wave of extraterrestrial invaders called Angels started attacking Earth Again.
At the time, our main character "Shinji" was the only one compatible to pilot the EVAs, suddenly the safety and future of humanity was in the hands of Shinji. All ... that responsibility at the age of 14.
That responsibility in time takes a toll on Shinji psychologically. Some of his friends lost they're lives fighting the angels. Adding to that, there are a whole lot of political and religious division within NERV and the government.
Plot is definitely well written, the characters all add purpose to the series.
The Artwork is great, it is top of the line when it comes to Anime in general.
This is a series that is influential for good reasons. It set the bar very high when it comes to the Mecha genre. If you haven't seen this, you are missing out on something great. Just go for it and don't hesitate.

This quote from history is what best describes the plot of this series. The journey starts with two youngsters, Brandon and Harry, who resort to crime and violence to survive the streets, which are controlled by the Mob and Organized Crime. As means to survive they joined the Mob and in short time they start climbing the Ranks of the Mob. As Harvey begins tasting power, he becomes extremely corrupt and starts making decisions that go against his values and morals by killing anyone who he considers is getting ... in the way. His actions brought consequences that in the end brought his Downfall.
The plot was well written and gives the “Godfather” vibes. It has a good combination of Sci Fi and realistic plot. Excluding the Sci-Fi Monsters, the cities and world Building has a lot of realism and makes it easy to submerge yourself into the story.
The opening really sucks tho. The action scenes with gunshots and the closing music is what does the sounds some justice.
Most of the Characters are very generic and simple. Harvey, Brandon and Big Daddy are the few characters that bring color to the series.
When it comes to the enjoyment, the first two episodes are boring as hell and slow. As the story progresses things start to get interesting. The Dialogue is impeccable and the gunfire fights are very entertaining.
Overall it’s a good series, I would definitely recommend it. Just have low expectations just in case this is not your cup of tea. ✌️

I tried so hard to understand this but this show ain't for me.

I only started watching it because Joey the AnimeMan recommended it in Trash Taste podcast.
Basically the plot is about a girl who gets invested in emails and social media. And how with time she started losing touch with reality since she doesn't know if she is real or just some sort of computer software.
It honestly gets confusing and the ending can be interpreted differently depending on the viewer.
I love psychological and thriller series but this was not my cup of tea.
The art is very decent keeping in mind ... it was done in the 90s. Characters are mid and just don't see how they add value to series.

I deeply regret ever watching this garbage. Honestly the way it tries to pander to a specific demographic is just offending.
To summarize the plot briefly, it's just a couple teens trying to avoid being eaten while constantly showing breast and nudity every single moment.
The show really tried hard to show nudity, I can't believe this made it to T.V.
The amount of nudity doesn't even go with the plot, it has bad timing, a lot of things don't make sense even within the story.
The series doesn't have any value to teach the audience, nothing to reflect on. The action scenes are so ... bad, I didn't see what was fun about zombies being drop by bullets.
Do yourself a favor and avoid this like the plague.

My Latinos would agree that "Perfect Blue" is very similar to that Spanish show from mid 2000s called "Mujeres Asesinas" 😆, which is about women who committed attrotious crimes and their drives to commit those crimes.
Turns out that the producer of the show was inspired by "Perfect Blue".
Perfect Blue is about a pop star who aspires to become an actress and unfortunately becomes the victim of a stalker. Her personal information gets published on the internet(mind you, this is the 90s), and in that time span many murders start to take place. The main character "Mima" starts to lose a grip on reality ... since she doesn't know if she is the one who is actually committing those murders. Problems with her career, her stalker and her safety start to drive her insane. She then starts losing her grasp on reality.
The Plot is very well written and can understand why this is an Anime Classic still talked about to this day. However it's not free from having flaws. Although many people can find enjoyment it is not for everyone. The story is complex and can mainly be understood by adults.
Perfect Blue in a way foreshadows the problems we have today and how at times we lose a grasp of reality thanks to social media.
I would definitely recommend this show to my Tias 😆, they like this type of drama and thriller.
