This is peak. The art style, the animation, the sound design, the pacing, the comedy, the conflicts... All of it is peak.
I highly recommend giving the first episode a try. The premise is not, like I mistakenly thought, a weird fetish thing. It's unusual, but that only lets the author's creativity shine. And the premise is not the only interesting aspect of Ranma 1/2, all of the characters are unique and there are many fun and intriguing aspects to many of them.

EWWWW what is this? Most perverted writing I've witnessed in some time.
MC is shameless, sure he's a drake but he lived as a human so should have a minimum of decency, which he doesn't. But he is portrayed as honourable and proper, so that's worthy of a gag reflex. But, more importantly, the world the author made has disgusting morals. While that in essence can be used as part of the story and make a story interesting, it appears that it is just wish-fulfilment of the most despicable kind. I'm specifically thinking of episode 3, I won't explain the details (not to avoid spoiling, but ... |
