This is a review of the first two volumes.

I discovered this series via facebook post of one of the chapters. It seemed like a light read and was very cute. A lot of comments were worried about it turning into a glorified eating fetish. I can safely say, it was not the impression I had after reading the available volumes printed.

The character interactions between the two main men feels wholesome, if not a little tropey. On one hand you have a suave and sexy manager, and your grumpy self loathing worker. The worker sees themselves as undesirable both romantically, and socially. They are very much ... aware of their shortcomings, and figures everyone is out to make life miserable. I am getting potential romance vibes in the second book, but they are VERY subtle. In the end, the manager just wants to make his coworker happy, and looks past his flaws. That's not to say the manager isn't completely blind to the social avoidance. So to bridge the gap, he wants to be the worker's friend through gifts of treats when he travels for business. This is where I can see the fetish issue coming through. But I see it as a leader trying to make a dejected coworker happy, which in turn, makes them happy. To see someone like that finally smile and enjoy the company of others, is his reward.

Everyone's interpretation of their relationship is going to be different. Overall it is a light and enjoyable story that gives you a warm feeling. Not too much is going on, but at the same time, just enough to be curious as to how much they will open up to one another.
