New Game! is a very soft, beautiful and detailed drawn anime you can enjoy without being focused on it.
The charastaristic is a solid 8, you have a few characters with slightly different facades, but they´re all cute and soft too, so nothing special here and nothing to get hyped about. You really have to love Moe. I did not like the girls-only fraction, like why are there only girls working in a big game company!? No boys, no romance, you just have to hope for some yuri action but New Game! gives you a bit pantsu fanservice instead.
The story is nothing special as well,
...
you can see better daily life at work stuff in other anime. The New Game! girls aren´t even working that much, they rather drink tea and eat cookies. I missed the intense and professional atmosphere.
The rest isn´t really worth talking about. Watch it if you don´t want to concentrate or if you´re a Moe fan anyway.

I dunno what to say. I´m still kinda embarrassed while thinking of it.
It´s different, it´s disturbing, it´s the other way of funny. You either hate or love it or you just sit there mindfucked and embarrassed like me. Watch it alone or you`ll blush.
The characters are already known, the introvert, the something hiding idol-like friend, the annoying sibling, ...... but Watashi ga Motenai (and so on) exaggerate EVERYTHING. If you hear the Intro you might think of Death Note or Mirai Nikki because of the hard sound coming to your ears, but then you see those little girls with school and social problems and
...
you kinda ask yourself what´s going on. But most of the time you are ashamed of the main character. Damn girl, pull yourself togehter! xD

I´m not really a fan of SHAFT Anime and I know that they are people who would killl me for saying so, but well at least 3-gatsu no Lion is the first SHAFT anime that I kinda enjoy watching.
SHAFT is always trying to create the most melancholic atmosphere in their anime, they use all common tricks and don´t back off stereotypes that you already saw a thousand times. That´s not the only point that bothers me. The design is kinda careless, but that´s just the typical SHAFT thing you have to deal with. Maybe you like blurred background and faceless side characters, maybe you like
...
to know what´s happening next because you see that leant back SHAFT head, maybe 3-gatsu no Lion is exactly what you call perfect. I would not, I hoped for more.
But let´s talk about the characters and the story, since it´s the most important thing for me. Here we come to the points that I really like. There´s nothing new about an introverted main character that goes through a really hard time in his life, but Rei is kinda surprising you. He is the stereotype that you already know and still he makes decissions that don´t fit in his role. It´s like seeing a child grow and develop new characteristics. As you start the first episode, you are dead even with Rei because he doesn´t know much more about his surroundings.
The thing that keeps you watching this anime is the question about his past. A lot of things happend, really sad things, really disturbing things and you sit there watching it and waiting for an explanation.
Since I mentioned his really sad past, I have to comment that I´m still waiting for 3-gatsu no Lion to make me cry. It has so much potential to be a tear-jerker, but it´s just not happning. Every time you think that it will crash your feelings, SHAFT decides to get off the track. Shame on you. But thanks for explaining Shogi for dummies! xD
I just watched episode 11.5, so maybe it´s going to get better but if you´re just as disapointed as I am, you just have to concentrate on Momo and the cats. Those are some hilarious side characters.

Boi I was not ready for that anime.
I started Yuri on Ice with mixed feelings. I just wanted to see another good sports anime after finishing the third season of Haikyuu and then I kinda slipped into ..... I dunno some Shota boys action? The fandom is really strong with this, I know, but I was never that kind of yaoi fan.
So I watched one episode after another, always in fear of my heart skiping a beat because those romance parts are so intense! Well you don´t keep watching Yuri on Ice because of them skating. After reading a lot of comments I´m pretty
...
sure that nobody watched it because of the sports part. But they are skating for sure, they have those competitions (like every sports anime), they have a past, they get through hard times, they win or they lose. They laugh and cry and improve their skills.
But Yuri on Ice sticks out because of the characters and their relationships. I was immediately bound to this anime without even knowing why, but gosh how funny can an anime be without prepetuating a sterotype!
I really laughed a lot and kinda inhaled all episodes. Well done, can´t wait for season 2!

It´s my first review, but gosh I have to write one.
I just finished the second season of Hibike! Euphonium and still sit here with tears in my eyes. I don´t even know why I´m crying. I mean, nobody died, nothing special happend, it´s just another school club with competitions anime isn´t it!? Well yes and no.
This anime is absolutly superior. The character design reminds me of K-On!, you can cleary see the love behind it. Not only the mains, but every side character is detailed, every character is beautiful, every character has his own personality standing out and his own story. You just have to
...
wait till you get to know something about him/her. The timing is excellent as well. Every little side story, every flashback is just on point.
The story sounds a bit boring, you´re right. Nothing for people who don´t like school anime? False. Here you see a bunch of girls and boys who are fighting their past, who get through so many trouble and pain that it even hurts watching them. The secret behind it? Experiences that everyone of us has to go trhough. You see their pain, you feel their pain. It´s a story of growing up, of finding your way in life, of changing the order of priorities just because life hits you right in the face.
And this music guys ....... We already experienced brilliant music in Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso and many more. We already know the tricks of melodic sounds, of sad compositions that are tickling our tear glands. But HIbike! Euphonium is a tear-jerker without playing safe. They manage to let you look like a little crybaby while they´re playing some sounds that are not even meant to be that despressing. If you´re really listening to it, you hear some cheerful tones, you see them smile, but you still realize what´s going on behind that facade.
Hibike! Euphonium isn´t waiting till the end of a season to make you cry. It attacks you all the time.
For me, it´s a masterpiece and I`m really glad that I saw it. It´s one of those anime that left you half broken after finishing it and gosh I hope for a third season. PLEASE.
You should defintley give it a try.
