The title for the most wholesome anime of the season goes to..

My dress up darling. An anime about cosplay, with some nice fan service and heartwarming romance. Some may love it, others hate it. I, for one, am absolutely adoring it and knew just from the trailer that it would be faithful to it's source material. In this case it's even better.

The story revolves around Wakana Gojo, a normal high school student who happens to love making hina dolls (traditional Japanese dolls) gets embarked in the cosplaying fantasy of Kitagawa Marin, a popular student in his ... school and a certified otaku with a love for cosplay. He ends up making her outfits. As simple as that, so if you thought it would be about some normal person saving the world or and OP character with a harem of girls as big as his ego, then you can turn back. This might not be for you.

The animation looks smooth, is smooth and CW studios did an AMAZING job with it. The movements, the color palette, the designs..Everything looks perfect.

The sound effect are just fitting so well. the OP and ED really captures the chill and relaxed atmosphere of the anime overall, and the VA's fit the characters really well. Especially Marin, which I find the VA fitting her smile wonderfully.

I know this anime would be great and, for once, the ratings doesn't lie. Give it a chance. You might not regret it.

Best anime for the season for me !
