both works deal with a society with heroes, in boku no hero the heroes are natural, in x-man, mutants are seen as aberrations, in both there are good and bad superhero organizations, in both there are schools of superheroes heroes. In short Boku no hero is a Japanese version of x-man.

If you liked JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken Part 5: Ougon no Kaze add

...then you might like Ikebukuro West Gate Park add

both series deal with "honorable" young gangsters, the two deal with topics such as mafia, drugs and interpersonal relationships. The big differences are: jojo takes place in italy, has superpowers and the way Giorno controls things is with force, in IWGP it takes place in japan, has no superpowers and Makoto does things in a more "peaceful" way.

...then you might like School Days add

Both animes deal with a very well done psychological drama. In both series we have immoral protagonists who are corrupted by power (in death note, light is corrupted by the power to kill anyone in the world, as long as he knows his name and face, in school days, makoto is corrupted by the temptation to have multiple girls). Both series talk about how their protagonists can change the world around them (in death note, light changes the whole world, killing criminals, while on school days, makoto destroys the personality of their "girlfriends"). The end of the two series is very similar, as the two protagonists have to deal with the consequences of their immoral actions in an almost equal way.
