Hi, I'm AraumC
A newer weeb getting caught up with older anime. I like to review in order to put my opinions somewhere beside my head :) Juror for the r/anime awards 2023.
I don't like fanservice.

Rating system:
10-This anime is not only high quality, but has emotionally touched me in a way that is utterly personal. Your Name is a good example.
9-This anime has all of the quality to be a ten, but it didn't impact me the way a 10 did. A good amount of Ghibli films are nines, as well as anything generally praised as a work of art like Death Note and Weathering with You.
8-This anime is one I am extremely passionate about and think of often. Though this anime has more vocal detractors and I can see its flaws, I still love watching it. My Hero Academia is an 8 for me.
7-This anime was solid. Most of the anime I watch are 7s. I like this anime and have a sense of happiness when remembering it, but I don't get excited, obsessed, or emotional the same way as an 8. I would rank Demonslayer or Tsukigakirei a 7.
6-This anime was, as MAL calls it, fine. I am glad I watched this, and at least one thing sticks with me for a little while. Unlike a 7, however, I would be reluctant to watch these ones again. Some sixes include Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken or Anohana
5-This anime is nothing special. 5's are usually the easiest to score because my feelings on them are so obviously neutral. Though this anime broke no new ground, it was a pleasant enough experience. Most Isekai or Harem will fall here, as anything worse (or with more fanservice) in those genres I'll likely drop. I'll probably forget about fives, like Amagi Brilliant Park or Quintessential Quintuplets.
4-This anime is critically flawed, but at least it had a decent foundation or a smattering of redeeming qualities. It might have serious plot holes, but none of which made the viewing experience totally unenjoyable. I wanted to enjoy it, but the experience was not all that it could have been. The overly cluttered Re:Zero season two or the first season of SAO would be ranked a 4.
3-This anime has hit the level that I would be 100% comfortable to call it "bad." Either it was so incredibly boring it transcended the neutrality of a 5 and became unacceptable, or it's story and animation were so full of holes and obvious excuses that I find it upsetting. Anything at or below this point I'll likely drop before completion, but most of SAO and Snow White with the Red Hair are threes I've made my way through.
2-This anime is atrocious and requires special mention of how bad it is beyond a 3. Thinking about a 2 can fill me with self-loathing. Trapped in Another World with my Smartphone and anything rated below a 5 on MAL would probably end up here.
1-This anime has all the terribleness of a 2 or 3, but also actively offends me. I have never given an anime a 1. The fanservice has reached an unacceptable level, or it is blatantly racist/sexist. I'd be very ashamed if someone caught me watching these. These anime are the reason I do my research before I watch anything, but I have a hunch Eromanga Sensei and similar would be a 1 if I ever forced myself to watch it.
