One thing about me is that I don't care how critically acclaimed a fictional work is.
If it fails to entertain me, it's not a good story. Go ahead and let Youtubers convince you how "genius and complex" anime like FLCL or in this case Penguindrum are, but if the show itself didn't seem all that interesting to you, you're essentially letting someone else do the thinking in your place.

With its eccentric visual style and storytelling, as well as dealing with themes like death and fate, Penguindrum marks the perfect basis for elitists to praise it to the moon and back. I don't do well ...

At some point, after you have watched enough Anime and read enough Manga, your stomach of consumption becomes full.
Isekai, Shounen, Romance, Magic, though they have at some point tasted great, have become dull, no longer satisfying.
That is when you seek the intelligent, mature, unique content. Yumenashi Sensei is one of those works.

There are some animanga that have already explored the confusing crossroads of adolescents and their dreams.
But that is where this manga differentiates. Focus lies not on dreams, but careers.
The protagonist and guidance counselor, Yumenashi Sensei, also called "Dream Crusher", takes a refreshingly realistic stance on the pursuits of his students.

This is the best Ghibli Studio movie.
A bold statement, considering that Spirited Away is the clear fan favorite, having received an Oscar and the highest rating on MAL.
But I genuinely believe that this is Ghibli's Magnum Opus. Implementing all their typical elements and honing them to perfection, that is From Up On Poppy Hill.

A lot of their works invoke warmth and youthfulness; but this film reigns supreme on an emotional level.
So much love was put into this. Highly contagious juvenile spirit. An omnipresent beauty flowing within.
Though not a tragedy, it almost brought me to tears with how the strong and passionate characters shone.
